I backed away slowly from my parents grave, blowing both of them a quick kiss goodbye and began walking back towards my car. I'm so happy I was able to tell them about my new friend.
Although I didn't know his name as cheesy as this sounds I feel like I've known him my whole life. He's great honestly, he knows a lot about me and I know a lot about him. (except his name)
I entered my car and started the engine, backing away slowly from the cemetery and onto the road. I had nothing else to do today, I didn't want to do anything today.
I stopped at a red light and turned my head when I heard laughter coming from a group of girls. I didn't understand why they were out at a time like this but soon remembered that normal girls are out and having fun at this time. I remember when I used to be like them, full of life and happiness. I sighed and picked at my chipped nail polish, waiting for the light to turn green.
The light finally turned green and all the cars sped down the road as if they are in a hurry. Unlike them I took my time to make it down the road not caring if I catch another red light.
I parked in my apartment complex parking lot, killing the engine of the car and unbuckling myself. Making sure I locked the doors, I made my way towards the building.
I took the elevator up to my floor. The elevator ride was shorter then I expected once I saw the doors open. I quickly exited the elevator and went down the hall to my apartment; 36C.
I pulled my keys out of my cross-body purse and unlocked my apartment. The scent of vanilla engulfed me as I stepped foot into my apartment. I smiled slightly, that was my moms all-time favorite scent.
I closed the door and locked it, I took my boots off and put my coat away in the closet. I went into the kitchen and began to make myself a cup of tea. I pulled out my phone and saw nothing different, I don't even see the reason why I still have a phone. No one texts me or calls me so there's no point.
I sighed heavily and threw my phone across the countertop. I poured myself a big cup of tea and made my way towards my bedroom. I slipped out of my skinny jeans and changed into pajama shorts and a flannel.
I pulled my hair out of the ponytail it was in and snuggled into my warm covers. I grabbed the remote from on top of the nightstand and turned the T.V on.
I quickly skimmed through the channels and found nothing to watch. I huffed and finished the rest of my tea as I got up and turned my x-box on.
I grabbed the controller and put GTA in because you know why not. I grabbed my mic as well and went back to my bed. I logged on to my account and checked who was online.
I sighed once I saw punkrock_mg wasn't online. I plugged in my mic and began to play online with other random people, waiting for him to come online.
~
"Fuck you!!!" I yelled into the microphone as someone shot me.
I could hear the other people taunting me and laughing at me since this has been my like gazillionth time dying.
"Shut up." I muttered as I checked the time.
8:23 a.m
Damn. I've been playing for 4 hours since I got home. Holy shit how is that even possible. I rubbed my eyes and decided I would make myself some breakfast.
"I'll be right back. This isn't over!" I said into the mic as I paused the game and went into the kitchen.
Grabbing the pancake mix I grabbed all of the ingredients needed for the batter and poured them all into a bowl. I quickly mixed them together and placed a pan on top of the stove and poured some of the batter onto the pan. I grabbed a spatula and began flipping it repeatedly until it was done. I continued this process and placed each one on a plate. I put the pan and bowl into the sink and grabbed a fork and knife.
I poured some syrup onto the stack and poured myself a glass of milk. I quickly walked back into my room.
Sometimes I loved living alone because there wasn't many rules as to what I can and can't do. I basically can do whatever I want in my apartment.
I sat down at my desk and grabbed my controller, un-pausing the game I placed the head set (mic) back on my head and checked if there was anyone new online.
I took a bite of a pancake and almost choked when I saw that he was online. I sent him an invite to the game and sighed happily. Finally this loser is online.
He accepted it quite quickly and soon his character was right next to mine.
"Why hello there Samantha." I heard is angelic voice from the speaker.
I giggled slightly and sipped some of my milk.
"Hello there punkrock_mg, how are you doing?" I said in a posh voice.
I heard him chuckle as his character went to steal a car.
"I'm doing quite well, how are you?" he soon replied as I went into the car he stole.
"Pretty good. I went to see my parents today." I mumbled the last part as I checked to see if anyone else was in this session.
"Really? That's great Sam." he said while he began to drive on the digital road.
"Yeah. I finally told them about you." I said while blushing slightly. Thank god he couldn't see me right now.
"Wow really? I'm flattered." he laughed and I could tell he was smiling.
"So, why is it that you get to know my name and I don't know yours??" I asked while shooting a few people on the street.
"Well you see Samantha, it was your mistake to have a gamer tag with your name in it." he stated while stopping the car.
Leave it to me to have a lame ass gamer tag with my name in it. My gamer tag is: buttercupsamanthax
I chose it because buttercup was what my dad used to call me ever since I was little. I smiled slightly at the memory as I exited the car.
"If you really wanna know, my name is Michael." he said while getting out of the car as well.
Michael. Mich-ae-l. Michaeelll.
"You don't sound like a Michael. You sound more like a Luke or something." I told him honestly as I finished the rest of my pancakes.
"Hey I have a friend named Luke." he cheered through the microphone.
I laughed and cringed at the loudness.
"Maybe you guys can meet someday." he said quietly as if he didn't want me to hear.
"That would be lovely." I whispered and smiled at the thought of finally meeting Michael.
