{A/N}: I probably shouldn't be ruining my own poem for myself, as this is supposed to be tragic and all, but imagine this poem is for a fangirl/boy during a "Feels" moment in her/his favourite TV show (such as Supernatural). You know how people will say "I Cannot Even"? This would be a perfect depiction of that. ^
I try to stop the tears from falling, but I cannot.
I try to stop the smile from slipping, but I cannot.
I try to stop screams from sounding, but I cannot.
I try to stop the negativity from pursuing, but I cannot.
I try to stop the mask from sliding, but I cannot.
I try to stop the lies from spreading, but I cannot.
I try to stop my anger from escalating, but I cannot.
I try to stop my grief from disguising, but I cannot.
I try to stop my pain from continuing, but I cannot.
I try to stop the words from wounding, but I cannot.
I try to stop the thoughts from haunting, but I cannot.
I try to stop the emotions from overruling, but I cannot.
I try to stop the dreams from dying, but I cannot.
I try to stop the impressions from staying, but I cannot.
I try to stop the time from freezing, but I cannot.
I try to stop my bitterness from showing, but I cannot.
I try to stop my jealousy from surviving, but I cannot.
I try to stop my loneliness from dictating, but I cannot.
I try to stop their disgust from penetrating, but I cannot.
I try to stop their disappointment from stinging, but I cannot.
I try to stop their hope from fading, but I cannot.
I try to stop so many things.
But I cannot.
