DISCLAIMER: DN Angel belong to Yukiru Sugisaki. This plot belongs to Sakura-Angel (now "drinktea" from fanfiction.net). Sadly I don't own any of these. Only the will and effort of posting it here belongs to me.
Author's natterings: "Libertango" is one of the most notable DN Angel fanfiction I've read at Fanfiction.net. I just posted it here so that I can share this story to you, and so that I can do something to ease my boredom. This is all about dance, as said in the title. Harmless, right? Here, you'll know all the insecurities encountered when dancing with someone you don't know. Hehe... I'm glad I've never experienced that because I don't dance unless they force me to.
The photo used is just taken from google and filtered, it didn't match the characters in the story because I was unable to find the exact picture of them. Plus, I'm not good at editing and I can't draw them together using technology. I'm still practicing on sketching anime.
Other stories are longer and I'm not yet in the mood to post them. Because for me, I like it better when I type it, not share the link. Anyways, have fun reading this because you likes, votes, and (+) comments are well appreciated. =D
LIBERTANGO
"Alright everyone, pair off!" said Risa, adjusting the strap of her dress, snapping it back to its place. She spun in her heels, her red dress flaring out behind her briefly, then setting back into place.
Leaning against a mirrored wall, Riku sighed. She corrected posture, her white skirt brushing her knees, staring downwards. The item of clothing felt strange on her, even though she had several of its classes before. Not for the first time, she questioned Risa's motives for this. But it wasn't exactly like she could deny her sister anyway.
The fact was, Risa was getting married in two months, and she couldn't stand for her wedding dance floor to be full of bumbling incompetents. At least not the guests on her side.
"I'm not dancing Risa. You know me. I can't dance."
"You just don't want to dance. Pleeeeease, do this for me. For my wedding."
Damn. She'd pulled out the wedding trick. "... Okay. But you're not allowed to use 'the wedding card' again."Risa's brown eyes brightened and she beamed, appearing not to hear the last part of Riku's sentence at all. "Great! It starts at 10 every Wednesdays and Fridays. Thank you so much." And she dashed off to pick out flowers, centrepieces or whatever the heck bride-to-be does.
Which is why Riku landed here, in her sister's studio, twice a week for 2 months. Other people takes the dance class of course, but they are a lot more enthusiastic than Riku. Except maybe the other person.
"Joyous as usual, I see," came a dry voice.
Riku looked up from her three inch sandals (how Risa danced in them was a mystery, because Riku surely didn't dance in them at all) to meet the face of the man who looked as if he was expecting the world to end.
"Get me out," she pleaded towards him.
"You know very well that I can't do that. Think of how your sister would feel." replied Satoshi as he looked toward his bride-to-be, who was conversing with another man. His eyes narrowed involuntarily.
Riku went on, not noticing his semi-jealous act. "Oh, I know. I just really don't like dancing in front of all these people-"
"Alright, everyone! Today we're practicing the basic steps we've learned!" Risa's voice called out, echoing slightly in the large room. "We're adding a bit more chemistry to the dance. After all, that's what the tango is about!" she said happily.
