Ezra pov next morning.
I couldn't make it to shadow last night. I commed her and told her but she seemed sad. She said she understood. I was currently on my bunk when Kanan told me to come to the meeting room. When I got there the holonet was on. " hey Ezra listen to the report" Kanan said not taking his eyes off the net. I watched the man said" we have recently found out that the known phantom may no longer work alone. If you have recently been on this channel you would know that phantom is a rebel who lives on lothal. We have reason to believe that phantom is female. A trooper who awoke from an unknown shot. Recently awoke and now will tell from his point of view on what exactly happened that night." The screen changed to a man who must have been the storm trooper. " we were transporting a shipment of t-17 ion disrupters. When all of the sudden smoke puts us all to sleep. I was a good distance away so I woke up sooner. A man no a small boy was holding phantom. She was hugging him tightly. And resting her head on his chest. I was getting ready to stop the insurgents. When apparently he saw me. He pushed her out of the way from the blast then kicked my blaster away. He walked up to me then said " way to ruin the moment trooper. I'm guessing they were a couple. He shot me with a weapon I couldn't really see. Then I heard her laugh at his remark then he shot me. But before I went uncountious I heard him say " now where were we" then that was it." The man said before the screen turned black. " that's very weird but awesome. I mean two town heroes in my hometown. ( I totally thought about the song hometown! Comment if you did too!") that is pretty awesome " I said acting like I had no clue what that stuff was. "That is cool. Now that you point it out. I only thought about how bad this could be! I'm a bummer!" Kanan said whispering the last part. " yeah you are" I said patting him on the back with a big smile leaving the room. I went to my room to call shadow. " hey shadow you there?" I asked into the comm. " yeah....*pant* can't really talk much pa has been beating me real hard lately. All I did was I couldn't run 8 flipping miles in less than 10 minutes. So I got beaten. It happened about an hour ago. I'm fighting to stay contiouss." She said in a whisper. " calm down slow your breathing. When does your pa leave for the bar or work for more than 2 hrs?" I asked. " bout 10 minutes" she mumbled. " tell me your address!" I said trying to be quick before she fainted. " 5...6....4 lo..th...al....roooooaaadd." She mumbled before all was silent. I turned the comm off and took off towards the medbay. I ran in and grabbed stuff I would need and shoved it into my pack. Then my big brother walks in! CRAP!! " what are you doing with that" he said gesturing to the pack. I weighed my options. Lie- would probably tell Kanan. I would have to take care of shadow alone. Millions of questions. Truth- tell him everything make him promise not to tell than use his help. Any ideas?!
