I wake up and feel a body next to me. I roll over and wrap my arm around his waist and rest my head on his chest.

"Wouldn't you consider this cheating?" A husky voice says. I look up and see Drew in my bed, next to me. I roll my eyes and turn over.

I don't have the energy for this.

"What are you doing here?" I groan.

"Don't you want to thank you're hero?" He smirks. I sit up and look at him. I know that he brought me home last night, but hero? Really? He's far from a hero.

"What are you talking about?" I rub my eyes

"Nevermind."

"What time is it?" I groan and rub my eyes.

"11:30. Why? Is it too early for our dear little princess?" He smirks. I guess he's back to his cocky old self.

"Why are you here?" I meet his blue eyes.

"Cole wants you to meet him."

"Why couldn't he just come and tell me himself?" Talk about lazy.

"He has a surprise for you. He's getting that ready."

I hear footsteps and I push Drew off my bed. My mother.

"What was that for?" Drew says, rubbing his side. I accidentally pushed him to fall on his right side.

"If my mom sees a guy in my bed after a party, what do you think she will say? She may not care about me but I don't want her to think I'm a slut."

He groans and walks to the balcony.

"Bye princess. See ya later." He smirks and climbs down the ladder. I look from the balcony and see Drew walking to his car.

I rush to my bed just as my mom opens my bedroom door. "Good morning." She grins.

"Good morning." I fake a smile.

"Where were you last night?" She looks concerned. As if. My mother doesn't give a shit about my life.

"At the hospital. Luke got into a car crash and is in a coma." I recall the events of last night.

"Oh!" She jumps onto the edge of my bed and holds my hands. "Why didn't you tell me, honey?" Her eyebrows crinkle.

"I didn't think you'd care." I sharply pull my hands away from her and get up.

"Of course I care." I look down at her while she shifts in her spot a little. That is called hesitation. I knew she didn't give a shit about me.

"Really?" I challenge her. My eyebrows rise in surprise. "Who is Luke? Do I have a boyfriend? If I do, who is he? Who are my best friends? Where was I yesterday? What did my friends and I want to say to Luke? And who did we want to tell him about?" I throw questions at her as if she's on a game show and she's on the last lightning round.

Her jaw drops and she doesn't make contact with me. "I-- Uh-- I don't know." She stutters as she looks at the floor.

"That's what I thought." I scoff and walk into my bathroom.

I shake my head and look in the mirror. I stare at my reflection for a bit. She'll never give a crap about me or my life. Why does she even bother to talk to me about this stuff? I'm not going to tell her anyways. If she never made an effort, why should i?

Finally, I peak back into my room and my mother is gone. No surprise. I make my bed and find something to wear. If Cole couldn't come and tell me the news himself, then it must be important. I wear a flowy maroon top with white jeans and pair it with a gold chain and two rings after showering and brushing my teeth.
