Chapter 3

The bell rang at the end of 7th period signaling that it was finally time for us to leave. I picked up my back pack and slipped my arms through the straps then started to walk out the door. Being the first day I hadn't gone to my locker at all today so have no reason to now either.

I was walking down the narrow hallway when I saw Lanie with a few other girls I haven't met coming from the opposite direction. I didn't pay much attention to them at all until I felt a hard shove against my shoulder causing me to be thrown in to the wall next to me.

"Oops, you should really be more careful" Lanie said turning to face me. A fake sympathetic look on her face, as she stuck her bottom lip out like a dog begging for you to sneak them your food beneath the table. I straitened up fixing my shirt and hair before continuing my walk towards the front doors ignoring the rude and sarcastic remarks coming from Lanie and her group. Once I was out of there view I reached up to my right shoulder barely touching it but wincing from the slight weight. It was definitely going to be bruised. I don't know what I did to already be bullied by her. I had never even talked to her besides the small conversation when she asked me my name. No other words were shared between us.

I got outside just in time to see my moms car pulling through the circular pick up area outside my school. I walked up opening the door and getting inside. From the moment the door opened I already heard Hal and Hunter fighting about something, it didn't really matter what because they are constantly fighting. The second you figure out what it's about the start to fight about something completely different.

"Boys! Quit!" My mom had to yell in order for them to actually hear her, causing them to go silent. "How was your day sweetie?" She asked glancing at me before putting her eyes on the road. Her voice was much nicer than the one she had just used.

"It was pretty good. I made some new friends and they seem really sweet." I said purposely leaving out anything that had to do with Lanie. My mom didn't need to worry about that right now. She would probably call the school right away and that would not be a good start for me. "I also met this guy" I simply stated.

"And?" My mom questioned after I said nothing more on the topic.

"We'll he opened the door for me this morning. Then at lunch he came up and talked to me and helped me, but he never even told me his name." I said telling her the whole story about me and this mystery guy.

"You didn't even ask?" She said a little confused like it was the obvious thing to do. Which thinking about it I guess it was.

"I didn't really get the chance" I stated. Thinking over the conversations I had today with him. It just never really came to mind to ask him name. Something about him just makes me feel like I had already known him for years and it just slipped my mind to ask his name.

"Well do you have a class with him?" She asked trying to figure out more information. I thought back through my day and all my classes. I don't remember seeing him in any of them.

"No, I don't think so" I answered still a little unsure. The rest of the car ride home was silent which left me to think about the mystery boy whom I met today.

Once I got home I went up stairs to my room to wait for dinner to be ready. It being the first day of school I didn't have any home work to do so I just turned on some music to listen to while I went ahead and picked out my outfit for tomorrow. I heard my phone go off from my dresser on the other side of the room. I walked over and picked it up to look at who would be texting me. Usually no one does. I looked at it to see it was Eleanor. At lunch the girls decided to all get my number to make sure we could all communicate. They told me I was now the new member of their group and how much fun it would be. They really did seem like nice great girls.

From: Eleanor

Hey new girl!:) I should probably stop calling you that but it's catchy, haha! Anyway I was thinking I could give you a ride to school tomorrow if you want?! And of course we will be going to star bucks on the way!!!

Laughing at her use of my apparent new nick name I replied to her that it would be great to get a ride.

Somehow everyone today new I was the new girl. I guess the accent was a bit of a giveaway, but it was like they were expecting me, especially Lanie.

Tomorrow I really need to figure out what's going on Lanie and with the still nameless boy.
