Chapter 5
"Lanie Evans"
When she said that name I felt my face flush. Could that be why she was so mean to me. I hadn't even talked to Harry really. He did open the door for me and then help me at lunch, but did she actually know all that.
"Sky?" Eleanor questioned "are you okay?"
"Hmm" I said snapping out if it "yeah I'm fine" I stated. Even though right now I'm not really sure how I feel.
"Anyway," Eleanor murmured changing the subject. "You know the group of guys you met this morning?" Eleanor questioned me. I nodded confirming I did. "We'll like I told you this morning, Louis is my boyfriend and then Zayn is dating Perrie and Danielle is dating Liam."
"It's the reason we all became friends" Danielle added in.
"They all decided to hang out and invite their girlfriends and then we all just clicked" Perrie explained with a smile.
"So what about, umm, the blonde one?" I asked unable to remember his name from this morning.
"Oh Niall" Eleanor stated giving me a name to match the description. "He's single"
"Oh" I simply replied. "So if your all friends, then what about Lanie?" I asked curious to why she wasn't a part of their group.
"Lanie is part of the popular group" Perrie informed me. "So are our boyfriends, but Harry is the most popular" she explained.
"Lanie won't ever come when we all hang out in a group" Danielle picked up where Perrie left off. "We aren't popular enough for her" she said rolling her eyes.
"I'm sure this is starting to sound like some cliche movie" Eleanor chuckled and the other girls including me laughed along.
"So your all dating the most popular boys but you aren't part of the popular group?" I asked confused.
"Right, we don't really fit in with all that. We like to be nice to people not judge them by clothes or how much money they have" Danielle explained to me.
So I've become friends with girls who are dating some of the most popular boys at this school. Yet they themselves aren't as popular. I'm glad they don't act like Lanie though. It doesn't make sense how they date these boys who are friends with Harry, who dates Lanie. They don't seem like the type of people who would date a guy if they were arrogant or rude. Also from talking to Harry the few times I have he doesn't seem that way either, but then he is dating Lanie. All of it just doesn't make much sense.
"Were all just a bit surprise Harry has been talking to you" Perrie said pulling me from my train of thought. "Lanie gets extremely jealous and will turn against anyone he even looks at" she notified me. Which explained the treatment I had received yesterday.
"But how would she know?" I finally decided to ask, I had to know how she would possibly know me and Harry had talked to each other.
"Lanie knows everything." Perrie retorted. Danielle nodded in agreement and then went on to an explanation.
"People tell her everything. They think if they do she will like them and then become more popular. Even though that never happens people still continue to do it" when she stopped they all looked at me confused.
"Why?" Perrie asked, as they were all intrigued as to why I wanted to know.
"I think she may know I've talked to Harry" I admitted nervously and a bit scared.
"She told me yesterday in class not to get in her way, then after school she shoved me in to a wall" I told them. "I didn't understand why yesterday but now its starting to all make sense"
"Has she said anything to you today?" Eleanor asked sounding a little worried.
"No" I replied glad that she hasn't.
"We'll maybe she will leave you alone now" Perrie suggested "it could of just been because your the new girl"
"Maybe" I said hoping that it was the reason.
