Ever felt that feeling, like you're on a roller coaster and you are so so high you feel like you are flying, then you take a nosedive and hit the ground? Well, I felt the same, except I tunneled through the ground and burnt up in the centre of the Earth.
"What makes Zero so important!" I screamed, "I thought angels were kind and caring, not murderers! You-" I tried to think of the word that would upset the angels most. ''You devils!" Well, it had the desired reaction, lots of angels recoiling and some fainting.
"See, Mika, this is exactly why I said to leave Samantha where she was! Why do we need Zero anyway? We have survived without her for so long!" Control smirked, clearly glad to have upset Mika. How she became an angel, I will never know.
''He said we needed her." Mika whispered.
"Who? You've never spoken to The Lord, like the rest of us."
"Not him, Barbatos. The... the... the demon."
The room somehow grew cold. I was just confused. "Who is that? Can't be more powerful than you, surely?"
"Barbatos is one of the eight princes of, well, you know. Below the ground? Lots of fire? You get the idea. One day he came up to the surface and decided to 'Lighten Earth's load'. Zero was sent after him and retrieved him successfully. He is currently in a top-security demon jail in a top-security room. With no other demons around him. Sometimes he says bad things, like what Mika said. Most times they are lies." A little angel said meekly. Yes, a little angel. They seem to all be smart." Please don't let him hurt us."
"How does Mika know what he is saying though?"
"She listens to him. He screams and she listens all for Zero." The little child seemed so in awe of Mika. But it was just screaming, how bad can it be?
So I asked to meet Barbatos.

And instantly regretted my decision.
The place was nice enough. Wait, no. It was horrible enough. It was all black rock with silver tech implanted into it. And there was a huge see-through cage in the middle with a guy bound to the back wall of the cage. He kept on screaming. "Only Zero can save you from our fury! And she is missing, isn't she? The human she saved was still killed, wasn't he! She is replaced now and you'll never find her!' He was certainly mad. He didn't look mad though. He looked at the ground with an evil smirk. He only seemed as if he was talking to himself, yet his screaming was terrifying. Scary demon.
As I later found out, asking to meet Barbatos required me to go into his cage, at which I strongly protested. After all, who wants to be in the same country as a demon, let alone the same room? But they forced me in, and the adventure began.
Once I entered, the screaming stopped. "Why did you stop?" I asked.
"Stop what? Screaming? Never screamed in the first place. I just projected my thoughts outside the room. Inside is a different matter. So, you're Samantha?"
"Yes. And you are Barbatos?"
"No more than you are Zero. I was taken over by Barbatos and re-written by him. If he leaves me, I will die. But anyway, my name is Archer. Nice place, isn't it?"
Should of known demons liked sarcasm.
