Heather is expecting to be in labor soon, since it has been about 9 months and she can't wait to give birth to a little baby and see the baby grow. As she walks down the stairs from the bedroom, she has always been in constant pain, but she still gets through it.

The phone rings on the counter once Heather reached the bottom of the stairs and she answers it.

"Hello..." It's Jodie on the other end of the line and she sounds frantic. The sound of her shaky breath worries Heather.

"Jodie, what's wrong?" Heather asks, clutching the phone tight.

Jodie chuckles, "Do you mind if I stay a few nights at your place?"

Something crashes in the background and then a baby starts crying. "I'll call you again." Jodie whispers and the call ends.

Heather's heart pounds as if it's about to escape her chest. What on earth was happening in the background and why was Jodie in such a panic? Heather can't feel but to call the police, but what evidence does she have?

Right when Heather's about phone Clark, she feels something wet in between her thighs.

Oh, God...

There's a stinging pain in her stomach and she groans. Then, just in time, Clark comes in the house, looking like he's about to say something, but then stops and realizes what's happening with Heather.

"Well! Don't just stand there!" Heather yells and Clark apologizes. He carries her bridal style and into the truck. He can't afford to carry her and super-speed to the hospital. The speed will be too fast for Heather to handle, especially in this condition.

As they drive towards the hospital, Heather is uncomfortable the whole way. She keeps yelling and keeps saying, "Drive faster!"

"Hold my hand." Clark says and he immediately regrets it once Heather holds his hand. She grips tight until the tips of her fingers are white and until Clark yells in pain.

"O-Okay, Heather, j-just breathe." Clark suggests in a calm voice. At this point, who can be calm?

"Breathe?! How can anyone breathe?!" Heather yells and screams from the pain again, but she does what Clark suggested.

"That's right. Breathe in, breathe out." Clark says and then Heather screams and he tightens his grip on the steering wheel.

The hospital is coming into view and Clark parks the car then walks out and walks to Heather's side then helps her outside the car. By now, Heather has bled through the car seat. Clark ignores it and leads her into the hospital. Once he got in, nurses helps Heather and brings her into the emergency room.

That's less work for now, but more in the future. He thinks to himself.

Clark finds a seat in the waiting room, fiddling with his thumb. He sighs.

I'm going to be a father...

"Mr. Kent." A nurse calls Clark in the waiting room and he checks his watch. Hours has passed by and he had fallen asleep. Clark raises up and the nurse leads him to one of the rooms. She opens the door for him and once he enters, there's Heather, sleeping. But where's the baby?

Once he turns around to ask the nurse, she had already left. Now, this has gotten Clark worried and disappointed. Was it a miscarriage? No, Heather was in perfect condition when she was pregnant, it cannot be a miscarriage.

Clark sits on one of the seats and buries his head into his palms. Maybe it was a miscarriage. Clark had lost all hope.

He hears the door open and his head shoots up. There's a different nurse holding a baby in a pink towel. Clark's hopes are back and his face brightens. It wasn't a miscarriage! He walks towards the nurse and she happily gives the baby to Clark.

"It took time to clean her. She kept on moving." The nurse giggles. "Congratulations, it's a girl." She says and then leaves, closing the door behind her.

It was a perfect time for Heather to wake up. Her eyes flutter and right in front of her, she sees Clark holding the baby in his arms, and bouncing the baby up and down.

"It's a girl." Clark says, noticing that Heather woke up.

Heather looks pale and tired, but all the effort was worth it, when she finally saw the little bundle of joy in Clark's arms.

"Why don't we call her, Ashleigh?" Heather suggest.

"I was thinking Taylor, but Ashleigh's fine." Clark walks towards Heather and handing over Ashley.

"What about, Ashleigh Taylor?" Heather says. A tear drops on her cheek once she sees Ashley in her arms.

"Ashley Taylor Kent." Clark says and they both chuckle.

Hei :)

Sorry for the short chapter. Another one will be posted, but I cannot say when. It might take a while 'till I have any ideas pop in my head.

Who reads these author's notes anyway? If you do, thank you! Because I actually do have something important to say now.

I'm planning on doing a Q & A video for my channel. I would appreciate it if your give me a bunch of questions! I need at least around 10 to make the Q & A, or else it will be a short video.

Thanks for reading!
