bailey's pov;i'm too shy to tell you how i feel.
so i'll hide behind timid smiles and short conversations.
i'm afraid to ask you what you think of me, your reply will be nothing;"BAILEY WHERE ARE MY SKATES!" Charlie screamed running into my room.
I quickly put my pen down and closed my journal.
"They are in my closet." I said nonchalantly.
He walked over to my closet and rummaged though the bottom of it.
"Hey I just cleaned!" I yelled.
Charlie ignored me and continued digging through the huge pile of clothes he was messing up.
"Help me Bailey, coach is going to make me do laps if I am late." He said getting frustrated.
"Well you could lose a few pounds." I said smiling.
He picked up one of my shirts that was on the floor and threw it at me.
"I'm kidding Charlie, jeez."
"I swear to god Bailey this is the last time you take my skates." He said finally finding them.
I laughed "You say that all the time."
"You are making me late for practice."
"Bye Charlie." I said laughing.
He walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him.
"LOVE YOU TOO!" I screamed loud enough to make sure he could hear me.
;
A few hours later I awoke to my mothers screaming.
"Bailey dinner time!"
I got up and put my hair up in a pony tail before going down the stairs and into the kitchen.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw someone was sitting in my seat.
Adam Banks everyone, Charlie's teammate and best friend.
"I swear to god cake eater I am going to kill you someday." I said glaring at him.
One of his famous smirks appeared on his face.
"C'mon Bailey lighten up, you know you love me." He said laughing along with Charlie.
"Mom make him move that's my spot." I said.
"Bailey, do we have to go through the this every time he is here? He is our guest and he may sit where ever he would like. You would think you would start to act like your brother and have some manners." She said.
A belch echoed through the room. Everyone turned and looked at Charlie.
"What?" He said acting like he didn't do a thing.
I looked back at mom. "Okay, okay maybe I was wrong."
I got my food and took a seat across from Banks and started to eat.
It wasn't too long before I felt a nudge in my leg. I looked up at Banks and he was looking at his food.
Deciding to play along with his game I kicked him back. Harder.
A yelp came from Banks.
My mom turned around and looked at Adam.
"Adam honey are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah Ms. Conway, I'm better than ever." He said sarcastically. However my mom believed him.
She turned around and continued to wash the dishes.
"Oh I'm sorry I was stretching my legs out." I said.
Banks looked toward me and gave me a glare.
"Alright Bailey that's how you want to play?" He said.
"Game on cake eater." I said.
