Chapter 5. Her Guide

Ruby's POV

'Marley Collins' I kept repeating her name in my head, smiling as I went back to my room. Everything about her was beautiful! Her long dark hair, luscious lips, piercing blue eyes and amazing body. Which I'd love to see..

'Gosh stop it Ruby your her guide!' I was almost at my room when I stopped and pulled out my phone.

"Rosy it's me, I need to talk" that was all I had to say and we both knew exactly where to go.

I quickly walked to the coy pond, trying to think of something other than this almost fatal attraction to my 'Student'.

"Hey" I greeted Rosy breathlessly.

"What's up? Everything okay?" she asked concerned.

"I swear I just experienced love at first sight" I sighed, sitting down and watching the fish.

"That could only be a bad thing for you Ruby" she laughed

"What's wrong with them this time?" she joined me sitting at the waters edge.

"Well the only thing I could think of is that she comes here, but that doesn't bother me at all?" I don't do well with relationships. Its not that I don't want one, and this probably sounds silly but I'm terrified of them. It doesn't help that I'm still stuck in the closet! Rosy being the only one that knows.

But Marley said her first kiss was a girl, that means something right? Or it could have been a dare? Or practicing? Just my luck huh.

"So? I'm struggling to see what your upset about?" Rosy said bringing me back to the conversation.

"I don't know? She's beautiful, guarded, gentle, fascinating, undeniably sexy and completely out of my league!" I buried my face in my hands, just wanting to sulk until I was good enough for her.

"Wait, holy shit your talking about Marley aren't you?" she smiled mischievously at me.

"M-Maybe" I answered attempting to figure out why she was acting like this.

"Falling for a student are we Ruby?" she winked

"Oh stop it, it's not illegal here! Besides I'm only a year older than her" she nudged me playfully as I defended myself.

"Then get rid of your mask and see what happens, you need to get rid of him anyway"

"I know" I replied, sighing once more.

This mask she's referring to is my boyfriend Sam, yep that's right I'm that scared of coming out.

I'm almost certain my parents would disown me, not to mention kids at school would be so cruel. But that's okay because there's no one I need to come out for.

And although we've only just met Marley doesn't seem like the type to force me?

Slow down! We are not together? I am getting way ahead of myself with this girl. This girl who I'm 97% sure is straight.

"Stop over thinking things Ruby. Dump Sam, I know he's a nice guy, but you don't like guys! Remember?" She loved cracking herself up.

"Even if I do dump him that doesn't solve anything? How do I know if she's not straight?" I honestly felt like I was in love with her! I didn't want to go through the pain of her being straight and completely rejecting me!

"She may be my roommate but I'm not asking her"

My head snapped up, Rosy looked at me amused.

"She's you roommate?" I didn't know whether to love this or not?

"Yep, but your doing this on your own darling, it's time for you to take a risk" she flashed me her smile and walked off satisfied.

'Dammit!' I hate it when she's right, and then she goes and makes this harder for me! Classic Rosy, always having a bigger plan.

I could always ask it in a session? But not directly, how do I not ask it directly?

Ugh! God damn straight girls!
