Chapter20

~Mitch's POV~
I want to. I want to adopt Marianna. I want to start a family with the girl who means the world to me. She's the love of my life. I've known since they day I met her. I want to start a family with her.

"I'm not sure." She says. What?

"Michaela," I start, "I want to tell you something. You mean the world to me. I love you with all my heart and soul. You are my world and the most important thing in it. With out you I would be lost."

"Oh Mitch," she says, "I love you too."

"Please Michaela. Will you make me happy and start a family with me?" She's crying now.

"So I don't make you happy already?" She says with a laugh. "Is this like a marriage proposal or something?"

"I guess you could call it that." I say pulling a ring out of my pocket. Oh by the way, I've been planning this. Just in my head it didn't involve a kid.

"Yes I'll marry you." She says with a huge smile.

I walked over to her and put the ring on her finger. She smiled and laughed. She also sniffled because she was still crying. I wiped a tear of her cheek and cupped her face in my hands.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too." She says wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me.

Soon Jerome's phone started ringing. Way to ruin the moment Jerome. Something was wrong. We could tell be his face expression when he hung up.

"It's the police." Jerome says. "They need us to come into court tomorrow to testify against Michaela's dad. All of us."

That made Michaela's smile fade. She was still crying, but for a different reason now.
