"This is going to be wild!" Spencer exclaimed, throwing clothes into his small, black suitcase.

Layla was in his bed, watching the items of clothing fall and form a gray pile. Kaden was leaning against the door frame, his hair in a bun, a coffee mug in his hand.

"You're seriously not going to fold anything?" Layla asked, as some of the clothes fell onto the floor, missing the suitcase.

"I am babe, just not right now," Spencer looked at her for a second and then continued searching through his things.

Kaden took a sip of his coffee, smiling, as he knew that that was not going to happen. Folding or anything that had to do with cleaning and Spencer just didn't go together.

"Why are you packing so much anyway? It's only three days," Kaden asked.

"Three and a half! And it's wilderness Kade, who knows how dirty my clothes will get!"

Kaden laughed, "Cut the crap Spencer, you know that it's not real camping."

"It's real!" Spencer protested, a few of his shirts falling next to him, making Layla sigh in frustration.

She started getting out of bed to pick them up, but Spencer quickly did it before her.

"Babe, stay in bed, I already told you that I won't allow you to clean anything today," he said and she rolled her eyes, but listened to him.

"I agree with Kaden though Spence," she said, sitting up, "I wouldn't call paying for humongous tents with queen sized beds real camping."

"Fine, call it whatever you want," Spencer moved to his dresser and started opening the drawers.

"So who else is going?" Kaden asked. He didn't know much about the trip, Kaden told him about it only that morning.

"Landon, Cara, Melanie, Tamara, Zoie... uh, I think that's it?" he said while looking through his underwear.

Kaden kept quiet. Of course he wanted to see Zoie again after that kiss at the wedding, but it would have been easier to see her alone than in a group, at least in his mind. He didn't know what was her deal - she seemed like she wanted him and couldn't stand him at the same time, and it annoyed him, but kept him entertained.

"We can take my car," Spencer said, "I think Tamara's taking hers, Landon too."

"Okay," Kaden took a sip of his coffee and walked back to his room.

"Is this everything?" Spencer asked, reviewing the almost completely full car trunk.

"I think so," Layla answered, giving it a glance.

Spencer closed the trunk with a loud bang and entered the car.

"Okay, so we'll just pick up Melanie and we're off," Spencer informed, bringing the engine to life.

"Why isn't Tamara picking her up?" Kaden asked, scrolling through his phone.

"She lives a lot closer to us than her."

Spencer and Layla sat in the front, while Kaden sat in the back. It was a cloudy day, and the forecast on the radio said that rain was to be expected in an hour or so.

After a few minutes Spencer pulled up in front of a block of flats, Melanie standing by the parking lots. She had a small white suitcase by her and a pink Nike duffel bag hanging from her elbow.

"Hi Spencer," she hugged him, the messy bun on top of her head wiggling.

As he moved her luggage into the trunk she said hi to Layla and then entered the car through the back door.
