"Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to Alana, Happy birthday to you,'' Everyone sang

James helped her blow her candle out and took it out the cake. He turned to hand me the candle and when he turned back Alana's fingers were covered in cake.

everyone cooed and laughed as she wiped her hands on her face and on James shirt

it was actually really cute

"Erin , can you help me clean Alana up ," James asked

I nodded my head

We walked into the kitchen and I picked up a napkin wetting it

walking over to them, I squatted and began to wipe Lana's face off, attempting to get the frosting off of her face, but she kept squirming

James placed his hand over mine and I paused

"Erin, I really want to thank you for coming back into my life, you really don't understand how lost I was without you, that day at the park when I seen you, my prayers were answered, I've been asking god to give me one more chance with you, whether it's as your man or your friend, and then one day I seen you sitting there with your baby bump and just glowing, my heart beat sped up. I made a promise at that moment, to cherish the times I spent with you, regardless of how long we talked or hung out, Thank you so much,'' he said leaning closer to me

so many memories rushed into my head, the good ones and sadly the bad ones

my sight began to get blurry, but I refused to let James see me cry

"your welcome, but I should get going,'' I whispered not looking him in the eye and slowly walking off

I gathered Elijah's things and went to get him from Nelly.

"Hey, we're going to get going ,'' I spoke

"why so soon,'' Nelly asked

"I have to go do my wifely duties,'' I chuckled

"ugh, I hope this isn't the last time I see you Erin,'' he smiled

"it won't be,'' I smiled giving him a side hug then picked Elijah up

I waved goodbye to everyone, and before I walked out I seen James standing by the entrance to the kitchen, where I had left him

I gave him a faint smile then walked out.

after settling down in the car , I rested my forehead against he steering wheel

I still had love for James, but I don't think I could be his friend if he has feelings for me

I'm happily married for crying out loud, well not exactly at the moment, but when I leave here im going to make things better

"I hope you two don't put yourselves in situations like this, " I said looking back at Eli while rubbing my tummy

I started the car and pulled off toward our house.

Chris pov,

I was laying down on my phone , thinking of ways to make my wife happy.

So far I thought of different places to take her, different things to get her , and different ways to please her

The last thing I didn't really didn't have a problem with , I mean that is my specialty.!
