Metal Gear Solid: Venom Rising

New Beginnings,Kazakhstan,September 18th 1986

The mission had started, 6 hours ago when Snake boarded the helicopter at Mother Base, Snake checked his gear before he told the helicopter pilot to land. Snake felt scared because he was meeting Quiet again. The memories of her hadn't faded from Snakes mind.

After attaching the suppressor to the barrel of the AUG, Snake told the pilot to land now. The pilot told Snake that he would land. As Snake prepared for the landing he suddenly had second thoughts about the mission but now Snake was there in Kazakhstan ready to find Quiet again.

Snake slid the helicopter door open and jumped out and landed on the cold snowy ground and checked his iDroids map and checked the route then he closed the iDroid and pressed play on his Walkman. The first song that came on was 'Kids In America' by Kim Wilde the song started with "looking out of a dirty window..." Snake started trekking through the thick jungle which was covered snow. "we're the Kids in America" the song continued playing Snake broke though the jungle into a long straight and sprinted down as fast as he could. "Woah!, we're the Kids in America." Suddenly the song ended, Snake opened his pouch and looked around for his copy of 'Hungry Like The Wolf" by Duran Duran and took the Kids in America cassette out and put the other one in the Walkman and pressed play. The song started and Snake realised that he should radio back to Mother Base. Snake pressed 'stop' on the Walkman and the cassette stopped instantly.

Then Snake radioed in on the Mother Base radio frequency. Ocelot received the information that Snake relayed to him. Snake checked his map and placed a digital marker on the base which was surrounded by dozens of armed guards and anti-air defences to go with it. Looks like no helicopter extraction from the base is what Snake thought to himself.

Snake looked up a the cliff face which loomed over his head. Snake moved both of his hands into a climbing position and started his ascent to the top of the cliff. Snake nearly forgot about the Walkman. He pressed 'play' and Hungry Like The Wolf started playing again.

"In touch with the ground, I'm on the hunt I'm after you..." Snake was now half up the cliff face his bionic arm was working perfectly griping to the sheer cliff edges. Suddenly Snake heard footsteps and pressed 'stop' on the Walkman and pressed up tight against the cold slimy cliff face which was covered in rain which made it extremely hard for Snake to keep his footing.

Snake heard the guard take out a lighter and pack of cigarettes and heard the sound of the lighter igniting and lighting the cigarette. Snake had to keep moving the make sure he didn't stay in one place and slip. Snake moved to left tightly hugging the wall and moving as quietly as he possibly could and finally he found a place to climb up and waited a few seconds then he slowly climbed up and hid behind a massive rock. Then Snake pulled out his M1911A1 custom pistol from its holster and rushed behind the smoking guard and placed his pistol firmly on his spine and with one hand reached into his pouch and took out his radio and map with the defences marked on it. After this, Snake pulled the trigger of his pistol and the silent bullet flew out of the barrel of the handgun and straight into the guards back.

The guard fell back and landed with a thud then Snake aimed the gun at the guards heart and pulled the trigger. The guard was dead, Snake pulled the guards body over his back and threw the body of the cliff face. Snake pulled out his iDroid and scanned the guards map this automatically updated his iDroids map.

Snake continued on after putting away his iDroids map.

*** 2 Hours Later ***

After Snakes long tiring walk through the thick dense jungle and a couple of Cassette Tapes later, Snake finally arrived at the gigantic concrete walls which inclosed the military base which was keep Quiet prisoner. After, Snake looking at the walls to see if there was any cracks that he could climb over the walls into the base Snake started to contemplate about if possibly Quiet had given her self in to the guards as part of a bigger plan. Even if she did Snake wasn't afraid to kill Quiet once and for all. Finally after about 15 minutes of searching, Snake found a opening in the wall enough space for him to crawl through. Snake radioed this new information to Mother Base to update the file on the military base.

Snake crawled through the small gap and entered the base.
