Metal Gear Solid: Venom Rising

Sins Of The Father, Mozambique, September 19th 1986

The temple was illuminated with bright fiery torches, Venom Snake stepped off the boat and found his Colt 1911A1 pistol loaded in his pistol holster. He thought that Frank must have put it there. He could hear music coming from the illuminated temple it sounded like Midge Ure's The Man Who Sold The World. Venom Snake had no choice but to enter the temple. Venom moved up towards the entrance way of the temple and heard "We passed upon the stairs." he moved in drawing his pistol from it's holster. Snake moved closer to the centre of the temple. The music suddenly cut out on "Oh no,not me..."

Venom Snake finally reached the centre of the temple, five minutes later.

The centre of the temple was a huge room with a giant ceiling and altar in the middle and religious drawings on its sandstone walls. The middle altar was illuminated and there stood next to him was a man that looked exactly like him, Big Boss or Naked Snake, waiting looking around scanning the room for Venom

"Ah Brother, finally we meet again." Exclaimed Big Boss. Venom thought to himself brother not a chance "Alas, we are not brothers. You are a copy of me, the famous Big Boss, the worlds greatest soldier. Venom clutched at the grip of the M1911A1 and pulled it level at Big Bosses head, in the same second Big Boss did the same. "Looks like we've got a Mexican standoff here!" said Venom. Big Boss stared at Venom and quickly replied with "Well only one of us can leave here alive! and that will be me!" with that Big Boss stepped back and pulled out a detonator and squeezed the trigger.

There was a huge explosion as the roof of the temple collapsed in front of him. Big Boss attached a carabineer to a rope which flew down from the gap. Then he looked quickly at Venom and said "Goodbye, Venom! Good luck!" with him saying that he pulled the trigger, a silver 45ACP. bullet flew out of the chamber of his pistol hitting Venom square in the chest sending him flying backwards. Then he started to ascend up the rope. Five seconds later he was gone.

Venom was still alive. Clutching at the wound on his chest, he tried to stand but a wave of nausea crashed over him knocking him back down. Finally, after a few seconds he regained his strength and stood up. He started to move towards the exit of the central room. He looked up and saw a blur of light flash by. He got to the exit and stumbled out into a sandstone corridor. Blood rushed down his leg, creating crimson patches of blood. He ignored the pain and kept moving. The walls started crumbling and collapsing behind him as the temple started to collapse. He thought to himself to pick up the pace. He started running and finally saw a bright light and the exit to the temple behind him a huge explosion blasted out and sent a huge fireball down the corridor. Venom dived out into the bright light rolling through the mud stopping inches away from the river.

That was when he saw the helicopter. It descended and its doors opened he heard a familiar voice. "Mother Base, this Pequod arrived at LZ ready to pick up package." Snake jumped in and the helicopter flew off into the sunset.

Snake sat in the seat in the helicopter and pulled out his Walkman and stuck a cassette tape inside. Pressed play, and adjusted the volume. Big Boss looked off into the sunset watching the helicopter as it dipped over the horizon

"You're leaving now, its in your eyes there's no disguising it...."
