Chapter 3: StarGazing
The buss travelled smoothly on the curvy roads alongside of the steep mountains. In the bus there is to be three maids, or staff from the school. One next to the driver, helping him get drinks and snacks, also keeping him company; another one by the food table, serving everyone who needs help; and the last one by the TV, surfing through the music channels.
Jayleen looked around and noticed that the learners in the bus are mostly girls. Some, are dancing in the small space to the beat of the music. Some, sat on the seats and minded their own business. While, the others just ate their feelings out with the food provided.
A small, short vibration is felt in the back of Jayleen's jean pocket. She slipped it out and checked the notification noticing that Rebecca had sent her a text.
Rebecca: Hey!! <3
Jayleen: Hey, what's up?
Rebecca: Not much.. It's so boring here. We're watching 'Jaws' *eyeroll* *facepalm*
Jayleen: Oh hahaha. We having a small party here- just no alcohol. Like people are dancing here.
Rebecca: Ooh lucky gal. Invite me when we travel back.
Jayleen: Sure thing! ;3
Rebecca: Gtg.. I just arrived.
Jayleen: Enjoy!!! *rotfl* :D
Rebecca: LMAO
Jayleen softly giggled to herself while shaking her head. She placed her phone back into her pocket and went to the restroom to freshen up.
The mirror on the wall is a square one with beautiful carvings at the edges. She leaned forward looking at her reflection on the mirror, thinking why she is like this. After a moment, Jayleen just simply shook her head, as if saying "It's going to be okay" and checked up on her light eye make-up.
Slightly satisfied that her makeup is not smudged, she pushed the restroom door open and walked back to her seat again. The bus slowly came to a stop, and the staff politely informed the learners to exit the bus and then sit underneath the big old oak tree. Learners slowly exited and Jayleen could be seen walking calmly towards the oak tree with Beatrice holding Jayleen's hand securely in hers.
"Jayleen!" A husky voice called out followed by a squeeze around Jayleen's waist. Ow!
Knowing who this is, Jayleen turned around to face Blane with a big goofy grin on her face. Blane smiled and placed his head in the crook of her neck. Suddenly feeling all the insecurities thoughts rushing to her brain, she left out an irritated groan.
"Bl-Blane!" Jayleen pushed him slightly but he didn't budge since her force is weak.
"Stop it!.. People are watching!"
"Let them watch." Blane responded and held onto Jayleen tighter. As if he needs her to survive, to relive.
"I don't know you as yet."
This small statement made Blane pull away and look at Jayleen's blue orbs with his green ones.
He ruffled her hair, which made her frown adorably, and said, "Don't worry, you'll get to know me."
"ALRIGHT! Everyone find your roommates and start lying on the ground!" A female teacher screeched out loudly.
Blane gave Jayleen's waist one last squeeze before leaving to find his roommates. She hissed at the squeezing and softly massaged her waist. Beatrice found her and they both laid down on the soft, green grass.
"AND NOW!!! You'll just have to look at the stars and keep calm."
"What?!"
Is the respond of the confused learners.
"YES! It's what the head master wants. To let you guys enjoy the first falling-star rain."
Everyone immediately took out their phones and started preparing the recorders. Some prepared to make wishes, hoping it will come true.
Stars started to flicker faster, spreading across the whole night sky. Leaving a very beautiful sky in their memories and in their phones.
"THIS IMAGE will not only stay in your phones but also in your heart. The next one shall be in the next twenty-two years time!"
Jayleen sat up Indian style and slowly pulled her head up towards the sky. The sky looks just like how rain would look, just with more lighting and no water is involved. Jayleen took a deep breath and wonder when will be people start to query about her - Her Past.
'If I make a wish right now, would it come true?' Jayleen thought to herself.
You see, the thing about Jayleen is that she sees herself has a failure. A disaster. And a 'nothing-but-useless' teenager, who's mother don't care about and who's father abandoned at the age of ten.
The constant pain caused by the rare disease she's carrying, leads her to think 'What if I die? Wouldn't there be no pain? No burden to everyone. To mother?'

From across of the big oak tree, sat Blane. He stopped admiring the star showers and looked across him, to only see Jayleen exactly opposite of him. He smiled to himself of how perfect Jayleen looked under the glowing stars. But he noticed something.
Jayleen wasn't smiling. But instead, she looked pretty depressed and distressed. This made Blane wonder, in mystery.
'What's up with this Girl?'
'She's so tiny. Is that normal?'
Just then, a tear rolled down onto Jayleen's cheek. Blane felt a slight pang in his chest. He stood up, almost immediately, and walked over to Jayleen. Jayleen was still looking at the sky.
When Blane got there, he kneeled down and hugged Jayleen tightly, slightly startling her.
Hey!!
Something I found interesting on the side. Same old love by Selena Gomez.
Obviously the falling-star rain fact is not real and won't really happen in twenty-two years. ;3
Adios!;)
