A/N I moved this Summary to the end because it needs to be rewritten. It was supposed to be a back cover teaser and it came out to long. I have rewritten it twice and am still not happy with it.
Haven Widows, Orphans, and Strangers
Summary/ Description
Growing up in Haven Cam and Gar don’t care about the large issues. They just want to go on with their normal lives. Sheepherders, ranchers, normal kids, only looking for a little excitement here and there. At least that is what their parents think. In truth, they lead a band of orphans that steal from the wealthy merchants of Haven. The Holy Church is responsible for taking care of the ever-growing population of parentless children. Cam is obsessed with finding out why the Church is failing meet it's responsibility before he must leave Haven to attend school.
Haven is a sanctuary, a safe place for Rulers and Ambassadors to come and discuss politics, disputes, and trade agreements, on neutral ground. After the end of the Great War a hundred years past, the Mage Michael established the Great Nations treaty and established Haven's neutrality. It was not always, as it is now.
On the surface, the three Great nations are peaceful. Before the treaty, two brothers nearly destroyed the world. Uriel incited the Great War by manipulating each nation against the others. Raphael and Uriel, also known as Set, fought each other with incredible magic. Their battle raised mountains and destroyed armies. In the end, Raphael was rumored to have killed Set and disappeared, leaving behind his apprentice Michael to pick up the pieces.
Rumors of Sets death may have been mistaken. After more than a hundred years, Set is gathering his minions again. The Red Mages. Will Raphael return to stop his brother again? Will their battle cause the destruction of the entire Earth this time?
History is repeating itself. Michael is finding new allies and new enemies. Are the Anii 'Yaseem the answer to the escalating national tensions? Will they help stop the chance of another Great War or are they the catalyst? Cam and Gar may be the only ones who can stop it. Will there new acquaintance with a mind speaking wolf help them or make things worse? All they have to do is figure out a few mysteries, make the right friends, and learn how to control their newly emerging powers.
