chapter 6

just a few weeks have went by everything's been going perfectly not even a sound from josh since he last called and brett answered the phone.currently me,brett,marie,our friend dylan,his girlfriend brooke(who i can't stand but put up with for dylan)and marie's cousin jake are on the way to my cousins house to hang out.he doesn't live far so we take our usual path down the railroad tracks between marie and my cousins neighborhoods.

only today something's off but only i don't know what it is.we reach my cousins house finally and meet up with him and some more of our friends.nothing spectacular happens while we all just sit around laughing at the stupid things we all are saying.when my phone goes off i look down at my phone and my heart rate picks up,my hands get cold and clammy,i feel like i can't breathe.brett notices first."hey babe whats wrong?who is it?" he asks.

"i-it,i-it's j-josh" i stutter out "give it here i'll answer it sweety so you don't have to deal with him" he says sweetly "n-no just ignore it" i say as i put my phone back down he sighs "fine babe but only because you want me to" he kisses my cheek softly "thank you baby i love you" i whisper softly "i love you to over the moon" he replies i smile up at him he leans over and kisses my forehead lightly.we hang out for a few more hours before we set off again back towards home.
