Liam.
Liam f*cking Payne.
"Heyyyy Liam! What's up? How long have you been standing there out of curiosity?" I casually asked.
Liam's eyes were as wide as saucers. His brows furrowed in disbelief. "What were you talking to Mark?"
I gulped. "Uh....business stuff? Just gigs and stuff coming up...." I tried pushing past him but he was way bigger than me.
"You're a terrible liar." He blocked my entrance to the other room."What do you mean?"
"You're tricking us?" Liam spat, practically shoving me. He wouldn't.
"What? No, no, no! Liam! That's cruel. I wouldn't dare to do something as cruel as that-"
"Yeah you're absolutely right. That is cruel and I can't believe you lied to all of us!" Liam stepped closer and I could feel him closing into the wall behind me.
"Look Liam...try to reconsider...." I tried stepping away but he wouldn't let me.
"Reconsider what? Our friendship? Forget I'm done. Lemme tell the boys the exciting news and we're outta here." He started walking down the stairs.
No, he can't tell the boys! What would Harry think of me if he knew j was lying to him this entire time?!?!?!
"No! Liam please!" I rushed down the stairs and grabbed his shoulder. "Before you tell them please let me explain at least."
Liam turned around and I saw something in his deep brown eyes that I've never seen before.
"Okay."
I led him to the dining room where he took a seat across from me. I took a deep breath.
This was gonna be hard to explain."Look Liam....you all are great guys.."
"Stop sugar-coating it and just tell me the truth." Liam snapped. I brushed a lose strand of hair away from my face and nodded.
"From the start...I...I didn't hire you because I wanted to help you." I paused, making sure he was still with me.
"I just needed you guys to help me with my career...it wasn't going too strongly and I needed some extra help. Mark and I found you guys and thought you'd be perfect to help.....Mark knew it would benefit you guys as well but I begged him not to tell you the real reason...it seems so cruel now..." I almost felt like crying but I didn't want Liam to know I actually cared about his feelings.Liam looked away. "So you basically lied to us, used us, and in top of all the damage you treat us like dirt." He looked me straight in the eye and I realized that it was all true.
"Yes..? But Liam please...you have to understand where I'm coming from..." Liam stood up and pushed a chair out of his way.
"I'm going to tell the boys and we're out of here, I don't care if you still need our help. You can kiss your career goodbye for all I care.""Liam! I swear I didn't do it on purpose....well no wait! I did but Liam!" I grabbed his shoulder again and he raised his arm. Was he going to slap me?
He sighed and slowly pulled his arm down. "Shaunee this is so wrong."
I fumbled with my hands and looked down.
"It's really my job to tell them. They need to know." Liam sat down again and rushed his fingers through his hair.
"Liam they'll never forgive for this."
"Neither will I!" He looked up at me, his tone harsh. He shook his head slowly at me, as if he didn't want to believe what I actually did.
"Just please. Promise me you won't tell them and I'll make this right! I'll make it up to you...no..I'll make it up to all of the boys! Just please, please! Don't talk them?" I begged. This felt so stupid, so immature, but I can't bare to see the look on Harry's face if I told him...and think of Louis'! The poor kid would be heartbroken.
Liam let out a deep breath. "Ok..." He put his hands in his pockets and stood up.
"I promise."I haven't updated in forever....this isn't the longest chapter, but I hope you guys enjoy it anyways! There will be slow updating now that I don't have much free time..and honestly sometimes I just run out of ideas xD
