I could tell the overall environment was pretty tense between Liam and I.
Ever since I told him the truth he seems to be acting quite distant. I'm starting to think that telling the truth isn't always the best choice. The worst part is, now he has something to hold over me....something to threaten me with.
I didn't like the feeling of that.Liam seems like such a nice quiet guy...but let me tell you, get on his bad side and you see a totally different Liam Payne. I wish I never see the hurt look in his eyes again....I could only imagine Harry's if he ever found out.
Lately I've tried being especially nice to Liam. Complimenting him more often, helping him out frequently, not being so bossy and the picky person I am. He seemed to notice too, but all he did was roll his eyes and look at me like I was something on the bottom of his shoe. I don't blame him either.
"So where we going for lunch?" Harry took at spot next to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I suddenly became very uncomfortable. I felt like whatever I said Liam would bring up my lie. I know he promised but would he keep his promise?
"I don't know, it's up to you guys." Louis said, as he started at his phone acting like he didn't even hear the question.
"You guys weren't thinking out going anywhere without me were you?" Rachel laughed as he walked in. I felt like she had been eavesdropping on us for quite some time.
"Well I guess since you're all ready now you can come..." I mumbled, not happy about her personal invite.
She plopped down next to me. "I'll drive us don't worry babe." She patted me on the shoulder in a kind of insulting way.
"Are we taking separate cars..?" Niall groaned. "Can't we just all ride together and get there fast? I'm starving and Shaunee drives so slow..." He rolled off the couch dramatically.
I rolled my eyes and brushed a strand of hair away from my face. "I'll have you know-"
"I'm driving Niall! Don't worry, you can come with me." Rachel interrupted.
"Yay! C'mon Lou! We're leaving!!" Niall grabbed Louis' arm and sprinted to the car. I've honestly never seen him run unless it's to food.
"Well I'll drive my car I guess...." I swiftly grabbed my keys off the shelf and slipped on my Adidas sneakers.
"I'll come with you." Harry put his hat on and stood my be. "So you won't be alone."
"Oh...it's really fine...I have the radio and stuff-"
"I'll come too, just for good measure." Liam approached me.
"Uh okay! If you guys insist." My heart was pounding by the time I got in the car.
I started the engine. "D-does anyone have a GPS?" I squeaked.
"Here." Harry handed me his and as he didn't he held my hand and squeezed it for a moment. I knew I loved Harry but I couldn't bring myself to admit it. Besides, if he ever found out I've been lying to him, he'll never speak to me
again.I took a U-turn and swerved into Chili's. We parked and each got out of the car.
Harry walked beside me, he reached for my hand but I didn't take it. I held my own hand behind my back.
Harry looked confused but didn't say anything.
He walked away from me and stood next to Rachel, and she laughed at something he was saying.I looked at that boy and realized he had done so much for me....and I haven't returned the favor.
