"Come on Alice,"I heard Derek scream
"I'm not getting wet."I answered.
"But the waters nice,"he pleated.I pressed my index finger on my chin,pretending to be in a deep thought.
"Huh.I guess since the waters nice,I say noo."I responded with a closed mouth smile.
"Then I guess I'll have to come yet you"he had a smirk on his face that made me want to slap him.
"No,no,no,no,nooo.Derek bertha Martinez,you will not come close to me."His face whent from blank to angry to mischevious.
"You know I hate my middle name.NOW I AM GOING TO GET YOU!!"Right as he said those words he was swimming towards the riverbank.I tooke that as my chance and stood up from the blanked I was sitting on.
"YOU KNOW IM FASTER THAN YOU."
I didn't care,I was running for my life at this point,but Derek being the athletic one,was catching up quickly.
"Youll never catch me.."oops,spoke too soon I tripped on a rock.I was laying down in the grass when I felt two hands pull me up from my waist.CURSE MY EXTREME CLUMBSINESS.
"Got ya"he said in between laughs.
"Ha,ha very funny"I said sarcasticly.
When his laugher finally calmed down,he smiled.
"Now where we're we.Ahh I remember now"He said.Sudently he picked me up like a sack of potatoes and threw me to the river.
"IM GONNA SO KILL YOU,DEREK"I spat as I was heading towards the riverbank.Sudently I felt a tug on my hand,pulling me further away from dry land.
"And where exactly do you think your going?,"He asked,wiggling his eyebrows.
"Going to dry land where I won't get wet."He was now holding me by my waist,pulling me closer to him.That's when I noticed,we were only like three inches apart from each other.He looked at my lips and I did the same,his lips looked so full and red,for some reason I wanted to kiss him.No Alice,he's your bestfriend.Don't ruin that...Oh boy,he's coming closer.What do I do?
I heard my phone ring from qqwhere I had left it beside my bag.I guess I could litterally say I got saved by the bell,more like ringtone.
I backed away from Derek,leaving him there,I could see the confusion in his eyes as I made my way to the riverbank once more.
"Hello?"I answered as I picked up my phone.A few minutes later I got off the phone with my mom and turned towards where Derek was,he was now sitting on top of the blanket,looking at the sunset displayed in front of us.
"Beautiful isn't it?" He murmured.
"Yeah"
"Soo who was it?"Derek said, sudently not intrested in the sunset anymore.
"Ooh,my mom.She just wanted to know if I was alright."I chuckled.Seventeen and I still get checked on every thirty minutes to see if I'm alright.
"I wavent told you this but,black looks good on you"He said with a wink.I blushed,remembering that the only black thing I had on was my bra.
"Dont get all red Alice,it's meant to be a complement."
"Yeah right,you pervert." I sat down next to him and punched his shoulder.
"Yeah,I deserved that" he said."BUT YOU DESERVE THIS!!"
He grabbed my wrists and pulled them over my head,he got on top of me and started to tickle me.
"Hahaha...STOP DEREK,STOP...HAHAAAHA"
"not until you say how cool I am"
"NEVER"I said I'm between laughs.
"Then I guess I'll never stop tickling you"He tickled me faster this time,I felt like I was going to pee in any moment.
"HAHAHA..FINE!..HAHAHA" He stoped to make me catch my breath and say his disireable sentence.
"Ugh.Derek is cool." I said rolling my eyes.He smiled,revealing all his perfectly lined teeth.Uhh-ooh,he's still on top of me.I pushed his chest with all my might and made him lay down next to me.He stared at the star's before saying "your more beautiful than all those stars ,you know?"He said,almost in a whisper.
