CHAPTER 8

It's been four days sice I talked to Derek.I see him at school but avoid him,I don't want to face him.He texts me and call me but I don't answer,it's to much for me to handle.
I was walking to my 8th period class,when I turned the corner.He was there,laughing with his friends.Ugh,if he really cared about me,he would be looking for me all over school,not be with his friends.I stoped my tracks and turned around.Nope,not facing him today or never.I must've not been looking where I was going because I bumped into a guy.
"Ohh sorry.."I said politely.I looked up and holy bejesus he was beautiful.He had thin blonde hair,blue eyes,and a defined jaw.
"it's ok"He said.His voice was so low and sexy,my knees felt like jelly.
I was about to walk away from the embarrassing moment when he touched my shoulder.I spun around and raised my eyebrows to see what he wanted.
"Umm,actually I didn't get your name." He asked.
"Alice.I responded."and yours?"
"Jacob" He answered.I smiled politely and walked away.I can't have feelings for no one anymore,they'll just brake my heart like Derek did.
I sat down in my desk and grabbed my backpack.I shoved my hand in the front pocket,searching for a pencil when my hand touched something wierd.A piece of paper.I got it out and read it:
Hey I just met you,and this is crazy.But here's my number so call me maybe?

Did he just copy a song?that's funny.He definitely doesn't know how to flirt.I decided to give him a chance.I grabed my phone and plugged the number in.
Alice:
Hello?this is alice...
I waited for a few minutes and he responded.
Jacob:
Hey u actually answered:)
Alice:
Yeah and call me maybe?really?
Jacob:
Way to cheesy..huh?-_-
Alice:
I might say:)
Jacon:
To say sorry for my cheesy writing, I shall take you to the pizzeria down the street ;)
Alice:
Umm..I dunno,should I go with u?;)
Jacob:
Will it help if I say please?
Alice:
Maybe:)
Jacob:
Please go to the pizzeria with me..-_-
Alice:
K,I'll go.
Jacob:
Good I'll wait for u at the parking lot:)
I layed my phone on my desk,sudently noticing mr.kelvins lecture. I couldn't help but stare at his bald head.it seemed to be shining from the angle of the light. I wonder if he polishes it?no wonder he's single.


I was walking out of the school. I walked on the paved sidewalk,making my way to the parking lot.Jacob wasn't really specific,he just said "meet me in the parking lot." Well that wasn't helpful,considering that the school parking lot was crowded. I didn't even know how Jacobs car looked like!

I felt completely stupid,just standing around waiting for somebody who i barely knew. I began to feel skeptical. Was this a joke?is he really going to come?
I felt someone taping my shoulder,I quickly turned around and a sigh of relief whent through me,at least I didn't get dumped.
"Hey" he said with a weak smile.
"Hey.."
we were just standing there,I was feeling the tension in between us.
"We should go" he finally said. He pointed towards his red sports car.Man, were going in style.As I made my way to his car,I was already receiving evil stares from freshmen girl wanna-bees.
I was about to open the door for myself but Jacob beat me to it.He opened the door and signaled me to get in. I got in and buckled my seat belt,just in time for Jacob to start the car.
The whole car ride was pretty uncomfortable,we just sat there in silence. I was glad when we finally stoped at the pizzeria. Worst two minutes of my life. I entered the place,I immediately smelled fresh pizza and all the different spices.My mouth is watering.
We sat in a booth faced from each other. He was smiling weakly,as if he was to afraid to show his teeth.
"Umm so what's up?"I said,in attempt to break the silence.
"Nothing much,just sitting here with the most beutifull girl I've ever seen."
He shyly smiled as he scratched the back of his neck.I blushed at his comment. Wow,was I really falling for this boy?I cant.I have to be strong,every boy is going to hurt my haert.I can't let that happen again.I also can't hurt his feelings. I should at least thank him for the complement.
"Well thank yo-"I didn't even have the time to finish my sentence.
"What are you doing here with him?"as I turned towards the voice,I discovered it was Derek.
"Nothing of your business,douche bag."I angarly spat. Way to ruin my day,Derek.I was having a simple date with someone and Derek has to come and ruin everything. Wait did i consider this a date?Ugh,why can't I just not have feeling at all.
"We need to tal, A."he said
"Dont call me like that. We are not friends anymore."
"Fine.Alice,we need to talk."
"We were talking weren't we? So now I'm bored.Bye."I moved my hand up and down in attempt to shoo him off.It apparently didn't work because he was just standing there,looking at me.
"Didn't you hear her?back off man."I heard heard Jacob say. Suddenly, I was glad I was him. I felt protected.Derek turned towards Jacob and gave him a dirty look before turning back to me.
"This isn't over yet."he said as he stormed off the pizzeria.
