Amelie's Daughter (Morganville)

The Confession and the Power

They sat in silence as the limo drove through the town until they reached Amelie’s home. It was a very old, tall house with large black gates. wWhen the limo stopped outside the gates the guards in thier  black suits, like a black wall, were around Amelie and Desire until they were safely inside .

 Amelie, Desire, Oliver and Myrnin all sat in the lounge, it was a large room, it had a deep pile  white carpet  with  two  large deep red velvet couchs either side of a lit fireplace, a large  round glass coffee table with a vase of Lillis on top. In the middle of the couch’s, there was an old painting on the wall. Photos of Amelie and Desire on the top of a white grand piano, a large bookcase  coving the wall at the  far end of the room the tall windows that had velvet drapes deep red the same color as on the couches, that looked out over Morganville.

Amelie held her daughters hand, looked at her and said "would you like to explain what you meant by weird? I need to know what is happening to you, it’s not the first time this has happen is it?" There was silence for a few minutes then Desire sighed then said "it started about four  months ago,” Oliver said “what?!"  in a worried and shocked tone,  "why did you not say?” . Desire did not answer. "I was in my room when I left strange, my hand was hot and sore, and little spots of red appeared... I stared down at my hand , when I raised it fire flow out of my hand and hit the wall.”

They all looked very shocked and worried “ then it went as quick as it had come.  But that night I felt strange I cannot explain it" she looked at her mother "remember I came to you and told you I felt strange,” Desire said , "you said that if it happens again we would tell Oliver and Myrnin may be they could shed some light on it. If it got worse than Theo would be told,” "I remember" Amelie said. “But then it stopped, well the feeling strange did. But weeks later I felt very dizzy, I felt like I was going to faint  then I got a sharp stabbing pain in my head I shut my eyes tight, I don’t know why but your study come in to mind, when I opened my eyes I was in your study…. but….but… I had been here in the lounge." Myrnin looked at her “OH my oh my dear girl you should have told us”.

 “I know" she said "but I just could not, I don’t know why so I kept seeing  if I could do it ...move from one place to the other just by thinking and I could, I found I could move across town in seconds and throw fire from my hands” . Amelie eyes where wide open and she looked terrified “oh my dear never have I heard of any human or vampire with such a power PLEASE promise me that you will never travel like that again!! it’s not safe now and your safety is of the up most importance now.” "I promise Mum I promise" Desire put her arms around her mother.

 Oliver began " we need to tell Theo, he might be able to help” Amelie nodded in agreement .Theo was called and when he arrived he was told everything , he was shocked and he said that he had never heard of  such things.  Desire  shut her eyes when she opened  them  she was at the other side of the room  they all just stared in shock and disbelieve . There was silence then Theo said ” I will need to take some blood tests let’s hope they will come up with something, may be the human and vampire mix might be doing this.” He took some blood.  “I should know something in a few days”. As he was leaving he turned to Amelie and said “did her human father have any abilities?”  They all looked at Amelie, “not as far as I’m aware of" Amelie said.
