It's not my way to talk to strangers, but I feel like I already know you. –B2K

TREY's POV
I rushed to the school because I had football practice. I threw my gear on really fast and managed to actually be on time. I got skills, I know.
After practice, the crew headed to Marques's house. None of them know that I've been helping Skylar out.
We sat in front of the tv and played games like usual. I was so tempted to go upstairs and see Skylar.
"man, I'm hungry" Jarell announced while rubbing his stomach.
"well, go home and eat." Marques ordered.
"I don't have pizza at home." Jarell countered.
"well I don't have pizza here" Marques said being sure to roll his eyes.
"let's go down the road to dominoes" Omari suggested while standing up and grabbing his eyes keys off the floor next to the sofa.
"yeah, that's cool" Marques agreed.
Jarell was already half way to the car so he obviously thought it was a great idea.
"I'm just gonna stay here. I'm not really hungry." I said while changing the game in the x-box.
"you sure man?" Omari asked.
I nodded.
"alright, we'll be back in like an hour or something" Marques said as they walked out the door.
I waited until I heard their car drive away before I quickly ran up the stairs to Skylar's room. I knocked twice before I heard her say "come in." I cautiously opened the door and peeked in. she was lounging around and watching tv. She barely looked sick anymore, not that it made her any less gorgeous. She had eaten a majority of the strawberries and the cotton candy bag was empty.
"hey Skylar" I greeted as I closed her door behind me.
"um, hey Trey" she said seeming confused.
"what are you up to?" I asked, even though I could already tell, nothing.
"nothing, bored, I'm sick of being in this house."
"well come play x-box with me." I suggested.
"My brother's?"
I nodded.
"no. he'll freak. Nah, I'm good"
"he's not here. He went for pizza with Omari and Jarell. It's just me." I assured.
"why are you still here?" she asked narrowing her hazel eyes at me with suspicion.
"I wanted to chill with you" I said putting my hands in my pockets. "and I wasn't in the mood for pizza"
She rolled her eyes. "I'm good"
"come on, it'll be fun." I said moving closer to her and reaching for her hand. "we can play whatever you want." I bribed.
"fine Trey, you win" she grabbed my hand and I pulled her out of bed. I didn't want her to let it go, but she did the moment her feet hit the floor. I followed her out her room and down to the family room and watched her switch the disc in the x-box.
"what are we playing?"I asked.
"Grand Theft Auto San Andreas." She mumbled. "I want him to get the new one but he hates this game."
"are you any good" I asked.
She shot me a look that could kill, followed by a roll of her eyes. "you'll see soon enough"
The game started and she got us to two player mode so I could join.
We did a couple of missions and decided to just go on a raid and kill random people. As a consequence we have a shit load of cops after us and we have 5 stars.
"Trey run!" she yelled. "there's a cop right there; he's gonna shoot you!"
I tried to run away but I just ran into more cops.
She stole a car and drove up next to me so I could get in. Once in she went into drive-by mode and threw a grenade out at the cops, then took off speeding. My mouth dropped in awe. "I'm impressed." Marry me, marry me now!
She smirked. "didn't think I sat around and studied all day, did you?"
I didn't say anything. I never really thought about what she could possibly do on her free time besides possibly model.
"oh, that's right, you wouldn't know and you don't care!" she turned off the game and started back up the stairs.
"wait Sky!" I yelled after her.
She snapped her head around to me. "my name is Skylar, only my friends can call me Sky!" she continued up the stairs. I was going to follow her and try to talk to her but I heard Marques's car in the driveway.
I quickly put on madden and tried to regain my composure.
What does she mean I don't care? Of course I care. I care more than she'll ever know. I sighed and slouched further in my seat as I heard Jarell, Marques and Omari enter the house laughing.
They came and sat in front of the tv and chilled for a little bit.
"I gotta hit the mall guys" Omari randomly announced after checking his text messages. "cassie wants to go find a homecoming dress. She wants us to match" he said smiling.
"whipped!" jarell declared.
"don't even talk Mr. T-Pain. All you do is sing sprung, following behind Candace's ass" I pointed out.
"who are you going to homecoming with Trey?" Marques asked.
"I don't know. I have a month and a half to decide." I answered knowing who I wanted to take, but whether or not it'll work out only time could tell.
"what's up with you man?" jarell asked with a concerned look on his face. "you haven't had a girlfriend in a month. You just seem so much less cocky, like what's going on?"
They were all looking at me now and I didn't really know what to tell them so I shrugged. "I just wanted to see what it's like to be single for a while." I chuckled. "I haven't been single for longer than 24 hours since 8th grade"
"wow, I don't think I've ever noticed that" Omari said.
"yeah, wow" jarell agreed, shaking his head side to side.
We laughed and then slowly left Marques's house.
SKYLAR's POV
I honestly didn't mean to snap at him like that but I felt myself getting too comfortable with him. I had to remind myself that he couldn't possibly be my friend, that he was the enemy, that I hated him and the rest of my brother's friends. I sighed and laid back on my bed where I was before Trey came and tried to be all buddy -buddy.
Tomorrow's Friday. I have to go to school just to make sure I'm not falling too far behind. I pushed a curly lock of hair behind my ear and sighed heavily again.
I closed my eyes and my mind drifted to Trey, and what Dreux said about him and how he might like me. A part of me thinks he's...good looking, but he's just like the others and I don't trust that, I can't.
I drifted off to sleep only to be awakened by my alarm clock at 6. I turned it off. Fuck it. who goes to school on Friday anyway? I turned over and went right back to sleep.
