I plopped down on my bed and shut my eyes and that's when reality hit...hard. I'm dating TREMAINE NEVERSON.

I placed my pillow over my head and screamed a little. I snatched my phone off the charger and called Natalie who for once answered her damn phone. I haven't really talked to her in weeks.

"what's up girlie?" her voice sounded oddly cheerful.

"hey, I got some news for you, and according to Dreux, you have stuff to tell me too." I heard a giggle and her say something in a whisper. Drake must be there. "he's there isn't he?"

"uh, maybe." I heard her laugh again even though what I said wasn't a joke.

"ok, well I'm dating Trey now" I said sort of fast but she caught it.

"wait! What?" she asked almost screaming. "since when?"

"since today I guess, but you're the first to know. I'm about to tell Dreux." I waited for her to say something but her side of the line was quiet. "Nat?"

"yeah?" she answered.

"I'll talk to you later. Love you!"

"love you too kid!"

We hung up with each other, then I called Dreux.

"what's up Skylison?" he was whispering for some reason.

"Dreux, why are you whispering?"

"because I'm 'sick' and you know how my mama is."

I laughed. She used to always say if you're well enough to use a phone, you're well enough to go to school.

"yeah, tell her I said hey sometime."

"Or you could bring you ass over here and do it yourself...and keep your best friend company." He sounded like a little kid and I just know that if I was in front of him, he'd be doing his best puppy dog face.

"Dreux, it's a school night and you know I'd end up spending the night." He didn't know, but I was packing my bags as we spoke. I never give up on a chance to chill with my homie.

"so you'll be here in like 30 minutes then?" he asked knowingly.

"yeah, but I gotta leave early tomorrow for school. Oh and I have something to tell you and it's a big something."

"oooh I can't wait." He said in his girliest voice.

"bye boy, you're crazy."

"alright, see you in a few."

We hung up and I quickly finished packing everything. I skipped down the stairs with my bag to find Trey and my dumb ass brother still sitting on the couch.

"Marques, I'm out. Tell mom and dad I'm at Dreux's." I ordered, even though 5 out of 10 he wouldn't do it.

"whatever, why don't they just adopt you, so our family won't have to pretend to like you anymore?" Marques said smirking.

I rolled my eyes as I walked out the door and I turned to see Trey smiling at me. He slyly blew a kiss and I was out.

I got to Dreux's house in 10 minutes, which was quick but there wasn't really any cars on the road. I parked behind his car in the driveway. I grabbed all of my stuff minus my school books and went to the door and knocked.

I was eagerly greeted by his mom, Claire. She was about 5'5'', my height, with milk chocolate skin, piercing dark brown eyes and her dark brown hair pulled up into a bun.

"hey baby!" she said throwing her arms around me and pulling me into a warm motherly embrace. I swear she's my real mom. "I haven't seen you in forever. Come in baby" she lightly pulled me into the house. "Natalie is in the basement with Drake and Dreux's upstairs sick. But do you need anything to drink, food, anything? You brought your bag, are you spending the night?"

I laughed and hugged Ms. Claire again. She's everything I've ever wanted in a mother.

"I'm ok mama" I took to calling her that since elementary school and she didn't care. "and yes, I'm staying but I have to leave early tomorrow."

"ok honey"

"well, I guess I'll go see what big head's up to."

"tell his ass to take his medicine because I know he's been hiding it under his bed again."

"yes mama." I said laughing.

"he always listens to you. But it's not secret he loves you. I want yall's grandbabies to call me Nana Fly because you know I be looking good." She said popping her collar and switching her weight to one hip.

I couldn't help but laugh as I blushed. she has always thought it was going to be me and Dreux until the end, but I really don't think he sees me that way.

"mama, we can't get married and have kids yet. I have a boyfriend."

She looked at me with her head tilted to the side.

"well, that's strange because Dreux hasn't said anything about him." she said.

"um, well, he doesn't know yet. I'm gonna tell him when I get upstairs." I explained.

"oh, well his little ass better be good to you, or I'm gonna go meet him and he don't wanna meet mama." She said sternly.

"yes mam"

I walked up the stairs to Dreux's room and knocked.

"come in" I heard him say from the other side.

I pushed the door open before yelling. "Dreux Bear!"and running and jumping on him.

"ughhhhh, I was almost sleep." He groaned.

"whatever." I said as I sat next to him on his bed.

"so what big news do you have for me?" he asked sitting up in bed.

"well, I told Trey how I felt." I said playing with my fingers.

"and?" he asked trying to pull the words from me.

"and, we're an item now..." my voice trailed off. I could feel him staring at me. He didn't say anything he just sat there. Eventually he took his attention off me and fixed it on the tv, and started flipping through the channels. "aren't you going to say something?"

"what do you want me to say?" he asked while he continued to pay me no attention.

"I don't know Dreux, Never mind." I rolled my eyes and rested my head on the top of his head board.

"look" Dreux started. He stared at me for a long moment. "I'll always be here for you. Just watch your back because I really don't know if I trust him or not."

I looked at him. I'm not sure what he's getting at, but then again, Dreux is pretty fucking wise.

"thanks Dreux. That means a lot."

I hugged him and went to kiss him on the cheek but I guess he went to do the same because the next thing I know, my lips are pressed against his, sending shivers down my spine, fire through my veins and this epic explosion of I don't know, but it felt good, too good.

Our kiss was little far from just an innocent peck. We both kept our lips interlocked for what seems like forever.

I can't believe I just got my first kiss from Dreux.

We quickly broke away from each other. Dreux's cheeks were the reddest I have ever seen them in my life and I know mine probably mirrored his.

"so, uh, yeah" I stuttered. "I'm gonna go say hey to your sister. I'll be back with um food or something." I assured before quickly hopping off the bed.

"uh, yeah, ok." Dreux said while trying to focus back on the tv.

I rushed out the room and down the stairs to the bathroom to splash cool water on my face before I presented myself to Natalie because her nosey ass would pry shit out of me.

That was simply an accident and nothing more. Yeah, an accident. It meant nothing....nothing at all
