Dream Girl

The Dream

                          ~ Maya POV ~

The sun was slowly disappearing behind the horizon. The sky was wearing a rosy-like vail with violet highlights. The last ray of light was slowly fading leaving behind an infinite darkness. A warm breeze was sweeping the beach, producing light waves that crashed on the rocks. I looked nostalgic at the noisy water and wished for him to appear. I search for him with my eyes and see him standing next to me. He looked lost in his thoughts. As usual, he was standing in such a way that i couldn’t see his face.

“You’re late. I was looking for you but you were nowhere to be found. I started to be afraid.”

“Afraid?” I asked trying in vain to see his face at least once.

“I was afraid you won’t appear in my dream. I guess that will happen too…sometime.” The same fear I was having as well but didn’t want to admit it. I hated to see him sad.

“Don’t worry, I will always be here. And when I won’t appear, that will mean I’m around you.” My mind was asking questions that took hold of my entire being: Who is he?! Who is this mysterious boy that was causing me all these feelings?

I looked at him again. I saw how, caught by uncertainty, he turns around to face me. My heart started to beat hard at the thought of seeing his face. At last, I was going to meet the boy I fell in love with.

-"Maya, wake up!"

-"Adda?" What is she doing here? Wake up? No! Just a little while longer!! I have to see his face! I have to know who he is!

Too late…my best friend ruined the moment I was longing for.  I tried really hard to open my eyes, but my eyelids were refusing to do that.

-Wake up already! We’re going to be late!

-You ruined everything! I tell Adda while she was moving like a hurricane in my bedroom.

-Did you dream about him again? Did you see his face?

-No! Thanks to you!

I got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom. This was going to be a hectic day.

                          ~ Daehyun POV ~

“Don’t worry, I will always be here. And when I won’t appear, that will mean I’m around you.” Too many feelings took ahold of me. Every time I tried to look her in the eyes, she disappeared from my dream. I tried to maintain some sort of position so she won’t see me. I saw her so many times but every time she looked at me she just simply disappeared. Uncertain of myself and guided by feelings, I tried to look at her again. She was smiling. I watched her disappear and felt how my heartbeat was accelerating.

I wanted to find out so many things about the girl I fell in love with. I heard someone talking about me but, because I was so tired, my mind was comprehending the words as background noises. It was our free day so I wanted to sleep  as much as possible, to make up for the long hours spent at the filming of our new mv. I ignored Himchan and Youngjae, who were staring at me. Did I talk in my sleep? They were disrupting my sleep and Himchan hyung’s words were getting more and more irritating. I was way too tired to keep my eyes open.

-Hyung, do you think he’s dreaming? Youngjae gets wacked.

-Shut up! I wanna find out what he’s dreaming. It looks like he’s dreaming about the same girl since last week when he fell asleep before the food got delivered.

-How do you guys know what I’m dreaming about? Did I talk in my sleep? I thought I told you I wanna sleep in peace!

In a split second, those two were at the door ready to run. They looked at each other and then they came towards me. I didn’t even have a chance to realize what they wanted to do that I found myself wrapped in a blanket and thrown on the living room couch. Everybody woke up except me.

-We’re going on a stroll today! Said Zelo with a big smile in his face.

-You’re this tiny bit away from acting like a child who just got permission to eat a whole chocolate bar; said Jongup.

-And I want to sleep! I was way too irritated because I didn’t get to talk much with her.

-Why? You still haven’t found out her name yet? I saw Himchan hyung and Youngjae running in the opposite direction.

-Just you wait! I’ll get you, Youngjae! I didn’t like other people knowing too much about the things I dreamt. The only one I had told this to was Yongguk hyung.

I looked towards him with a confused expression so he put me up to date with our plans for that day. It looks like I won’t be able to see her face. The boys had already packed their bags and were waiting for me to finish what I had to do.
