Violet Ayres is the out-going girl that everyone seems to think they know, from a small town in Australia where it seems everyone knows  each other. It is a huge change when her family decides to move to the United States and she doesn't know a thing.

-'Mom! i'm back!" I calls though the almost empty house.

"Did you get the milk sweetie?"  Mom calls back. "NOOOOO I FORGOT!" I call out sarcastically.

'VIOLET! that's what I sent you out to get!" mom responds. "I was being sarcastic... anyway, what are you making?" I calls out in a sleepy tone.

'Cake, for your sister, its is her birthday tomorrow sweetie."

"Crap!! I totally forgot! If i don't get her anything I will never hear the end of it!" I yell."What does she want anyway?"

"Get her a gift card to a store or something. I'm busy." mom says.

"I don't know? Maybe? I know! I'll order her a shirt she wanted. The minecraft one from that boy she likes, whats his name again?"I say.

"Captainsparklez? The one she never shuts up about?" mom responds while cracking eggs into the mixer.

"exactly the one. I wonder why she likes him so much? its like she watches him play more than actually playing!"  I say in a nonchalant tone while shoving a baby carrot into my mouth and playing around with it on my teeth.

As I began walking towards my room I saw all of the boxed up items and sighed. "why did I have to do that, i've ruined everything' I muttered nearing my sisters room. She read the sign on the door, "keep out! Lily's room"

"humph, *knocks* Lily can I come in?"

"NO!" she rebutted "lily pleeeaasse?!" "NOOOOO" Lily continued.

"Lily Marina Ayres! Let me in I need to talk to you!" She yanks the door open

"WHAT?" she says in a angry tone. Shes been like this to me since mom decided to move us, I guess i understand why.  

"  Lily, you know i'm sorry about all that is happening, trust me I am! I know it's all my fault but if it make's you feel any better Mom's making me find my own place so you and mom will get the house together. I'm so sorry that this had to happen right after dad..." I said.

"Look Violet, I love you but what you did caused some damage. I know you didn't mean too but now I'm losing my friends and everything I know here. You cant apologize for that. Good night." she said softly closing the door on me. I ran quickly to my room only to fall to my bed sobbing.

"It's all my fault! It's all my fault she's unhappy." I cried out.

When I woke up the next morning my eyes were sticky and puffed up from crying.

"Great! Another job well done Violet." I muttered to myself sarcasticlly trying to rub it out of my eyes. I got up and put my long dirty blond hair into a messy bun and put on a pair of Micky Mouse pajama pants and sat down at my desk. I had just logged onto Reddit when I had the idea to look for apartments in Santa Barbra California where we are moving to.

'Gross. Expensive. Expensive. Expensive. Gross. WHAT THE HELL! 1500$ a month?! no way!" I continued to look for about thirty more minutes until I found something worth wild.

" roommate needed, Two bedroom, One bath, Large kitchen/dining, In wall Internet, 500$ rent per month." I read aloud. maybe I should contact this guy?

I began to walk downstairs when I realized that I had completely forgotten to order Lily that shirt. I ran to my bedroom at went to spredshirt where she had showed me the cool shirts.

"This ones cool, I guess." I bought the small shirt with a king looking thing on it and put it on rushed shipping. Ill tell her its still in the mail. I looked over at my clock and saw the time.

"wow 11:23, i should really go downstairs. I got up from my desk and started to limp towards the door. "CRAP! my foot fell asleep!" I walked it off and began my trek to the kitchen. When I finally got downstairs I saw my mom and sister sitting at the table.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILYPAD!" I screamed.

"CRAP! you scared me!" she responded shakily.

"good." I said with a smug tone.

"anyway, I ordered you your present but its in the mail." I said while popping a bagel into the toaster.

"oh cool. thanks.' she muttered.

"So mom, I was looking for apartments today and I might have found something." I said trying to change the subject.

"That's great sweetie! It must be fairly expensive if you think it's worthy." she joked.

"Well, the apartment look's nice. The catch is that i would have a roommate. Although from what I heard he seem's like a really nice guy." I said spreading peanut butter on my bagel.

"Well are you sure you want a male roommate violet? You don't even know him." she said leaning up agianst the island.

"Well, he's 21, is names Jordan and he's supposedly a really nice guy. Plus; he needs a roommate and rends only 500$." I said taking a bite of my bagel

"we can get in contact with him. but im not sure. she said awkwardly.

YAY! first chapter done! this actually to me a long time and it is really short! oh well! I'm not a very good writer so this is what you get! anyway, leave critisim please it really helps! ok guys! thanks! hope you liked it!
