Chapter 2

I waltzed up to my room and sat at my desk. "I'm gunna have a roooommate I'm gunna have a rooooommate mmmaaaayybbbee" I sang. "NOOOOO! My baby!" I yelled as I looked at my keyboard. I didn't wipe of my hands and there is peanut butter on the keys now. "god dangit!" I yelled as i ran to the door on my way to the kitchen, flailing my arms behind me. Then suddenly I was at the bottom of the stairs laying flat on my face. My mom ran to me and see me curled in a ball clutching my left foot. "My clumsy little baby! what did you trip over this time?" she chuckled helping me up. "one of those stupid boxes." I grumbled limping over to the kitchen to get a paper towel. "Why did you have to make me so clumsy? Why couldn't you make me into... like... uhm.... something!" I said trying to thing of what I should have said. "darling, if it was up to me you would be a professional dinosaur racer. But alas, it is not. So will have to deal with randomly falling of the slide at the playground every now and then." she said smirking. "well you EVER let that go? I was 7 for crists sake! It's been 13 years!" I said trying to sound serious while of course walking and knocking over a chair.

When I was back in my room I carefully wiped the peanut butter of my keyboard and sat down at my desk. I looked for the roommate ad and when I found it I jumped for joy. "no responses!!" I yelled. I called my mom to my room. As she walked in I began to talk about the roommate ad. "so blah blah blah and blah blah. I think we should contact him." I went on. "well I guess if there is nothing else. He seems pretty normal. I guess we should call him." she said oddly. As she helped my fill out response to his delicately layed out ad my sister came into my room. "Mom, that dog is out in the front yard again. He's laying under the tree." she said not even glancing at me. "well, it's 95 degrees out and he has long fur. He has no where else to go and he's not hurting anyone, he's actually pretty nice shold just leave him be." my mom said to lily in a matter o' fact tone. "yeah, whatever." she retorted.

--------after writing response--------

"okie dokie! That should do it! Now you have to wait to see if he want's to get in contact." My mom said in a chirpy tone. "Awesome! Thanks so much! I really need to go to the store and get some candy i'm really craving it right now!" I said in a happy tone. "alright, but be back soon because I'm ordering take out for your lunch!" she exclaimed. "can do! it's not to far anyway, if I take my long board ill be there in about 5 minute's." I said calculating it in my head. "alright, have fun Sweetie" she said leaving my room. After she left i get ready to go, I put on my major Lazar shirt and and some studded white shorts. I put on some light make-up, just some eye liner, mascara and foundation. I ran out the front door only to be greeted by the stray dog that seems to always be at our house. "I'm going to miss you so much!" I said petting him. Me and him have formed a bond here. I would feed him cheap kibble from the store and we would sit under the tree with his big furry head on my lap. He started to urge me towards the tree and I began to cry. "I never even gave you a name! Violet! Get yourself together." I said though my tears. "I wish I could take you with me, you know that right?" I said hugging his big brown fluffy head. "you know you could if it's OK with that roommate boy, what was his name? Oh yeah, Jordan." My mom said walking towards me. "How long have you been out here?" I murmured. "Long enough to know you really love that dog. From all i've seen of him he would never hurt a fly." she said sitting next to me. "He wouldn't he is the sweetest most caring thing. Why did no one ever adopt him. Why is he forced to live on the streets." I said looking into his big brown eyes. "I don't know sweetie. Sometimes bad things happen to a good person. That's just how the world works." she said hugging me.

I decided not to get candy. Instead I let the dog in and made him a little bed in the corner of my room. Lily wasn't to happy that I was letting a dog in when we were moving in only two weeks. So I guess she wouldn't be helping me wash him. It certainly is different than spraying him with the hose and letting him dry out in the sun. It was more like I got some soap on him, he splashed me, I get soap on myself and end up giving both him and me a bath, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
