VIOLET'S P.O.V

I was dreaming. It wasn't much of a dream. More of a flashback, I remember it all clearly. I was sitting down on the couch with my mother on Christmas Eve. Drinking hot chocolate watching an American film named "White Christmas". Me an my mother and father would watch it together every year. Lily would always go to sleep early, waiting for her presents to come.

But this was the first year that me and my mother spent alone, for dad had left to join the Austrailian army. I watched the film every year. I just sat, I enjoyed the movie like normal.

That was until I heard the door bell ring.

"I'll get it mom! Pause the movie please!" I said running from the couch over to the door. My mom picked up the remote and press pause, jogging over to me before I opened the door. I smiled back at her and pulled open the door. A rush of warm air blew over me as I looked up at the tall men. They had shaved heads, and they were wearing army uniform's. The same outfit my father was wearing as he said is goodbye's to the family and drove off.

I looked up at my mom, she was standing straight, she grabbed my hand with her eye's still locked on the soldiers. I peered up at the soldier's hoping it was nothing. I heard Lily call from the top of the stairs.

"Mommy? Who are they? What's going on." She said, cuddling her fluffy green blanket. She was wearing PJ's with little frog's on them.

"Lily, come down here please." my mom called. She trotted down the stairs and grabbed mom's other hand. One of the soldier's looked down at me and Lily, and gave a sad smile. I immediately grabbed Lily's had from behind Moms leg's.

"I regret to inform you, that your husband and father, James Ayres, passed away today from a fatal gunshot wound in his left thigh. He fought bravely and he went out in the best way possible, mam. I am so sorry for your loss. It was almost like being shot. I looked over at Lily. She was only eight. She deserved a father. My mother kneeled down and pulled us in. We we're all sobbing loudly. The souldiers offered no comfort. Mom told them to go as nicely as possible through the tear's.

"It's alright girls, its going to be alright." She just kept repeating that, over and over.

Then I woke up.

I sat straight up in the bed. It was light out now. I began to tear up, which soon erupted into a full blown meltdown. Tear's we're streaming down my face and I was shaking wildly. My eyes we're already raw from crying myself to sleep. Jordan sat up, I forgot I was in his bed. He hugged me tightly.

"Violet, are you alright, whats wrong please tell me." Jordan whined at me, looking a bit worried.

"I-I had a n-nightmare, o-or a flashback or something, o-of when they t-told me my father died." I sobbed out, stuttering worse than ever before. I don't think I have cried this hard except for when *SPOILERS ALERT WALKING DEAD SPOILERS COMING* Carl had to kill his mom Lori in The Walking Dead. *I warned you!* Jordan chuckled.

"You are even funny when you are sad." he said smiling.

"look at me," I stopped for a second and looked up at me "I wan't you to know, you are gorgeous and strong and you cant get through anything. Even if it feels so hard you think you never will, you will and I will be right there to help, through thick and thin. I believe in you." He declared, looking me straight in my watery eyes. His chocolate brown orb's gazing down at me.

He leaned in a little and so did I. A million thought's we're running around in my head. Scratch that. They we're having a mosh pit, playing with my emotion's, giving me little bit's of false hope. Before I could get a message into my mind our lip's we're already connected.

The kiss was full of passion. It wasn't a kiss that was going to bring us to a zone I wasn't read for yet, It was the perfect first kiss, even though it wasn't my first kiss. Th e kiss made me feel like it was though, it made me feel like I was innocent, I was a virgin but I had kissed many boy's, three to be exact, Only one of which I had a real relationship with. But right now, none of that mattered, because I was with Jordan. He pulled away and I leaned my forehead against his, he followed. my lip's curled into a smile, as did his.

"I am so glad I did that." Jordan said smiling triumphantly. I smiled back and pecked his lips.

"I'm glad you did too." I said before I pulled away.

"does this mean we are finally together, because if I had it my way, we would already be searching for another couple to double date with." He said standing up and finding some clothes to wear for the day. I laughed, sitting cross legged on his bed. The light was shining through the blind's, reflecting on him in the small bedroom.

"I vote yes!" I yelled laughing, my sad mood felt like it has completly melted away. Jordan lightly fist-pumped in the air which made me laugh even more. Jordan shooed me out of his room so that he could change, just in time for the doorbell to ring.

"I'll get it!" I yelled, jokingly, still kind of laughing. I opened the door just to see mom and Lily. Bear ran in going crazy.

"SUPRISE!" my mom yelled running in and giving me a hug.

"suprise." I mumbled
