(RANBIR POV)

"Damn, the economy seems to experience some deficits next week!"

I cursed after read the article from the news. I hate it when the economy drops because somewhere and somehow it can affects my business. At that time, I saw someone opened the door and entered the dining hall. It was her. God, she's looking perfect in white! But she's still late. Two minutes late.

"You're two minutes late."

"Just two minutes..."

"Anything can happen in two minutes, so learn to appreciate time. Understand?"

I said to her. I'm not the type of guy who likes to waste time so obviously for me; anything can happen in those two minutes. She was very eager to eat the breakfast when I think it's the right time for me to tell why I dragged her in my life.

"I already asked Varun to prepare some documents for you and you need to sign it. I will pay your study fees and your expense. You just need to make sure that everyone believes that you are my wife. Understand?"

"Sorry?"

"You will be my contract wife and..."

"Contract wife? What did you think I am, huh? And who do you think you are? You can't easily make any decision for my life."

"Don't be stupid, okay. Just listen to whatever I said. I know girls like you can do anything for money, right?"

"No, I'm not. I'm sorry, Mr. Kapoor but I'm not interested to be you contract wife or whatever that crossed in your mind. I'm not that type of girl!"

She yelled as soon as she stood up from the chair and walked out from the dining hall. I was so frustrated with her reactions. I thought she will understand me but no, she didn't. Anger, fury, outraged. She doesn't even want to listen to any explanations from me. I know I'm might sound rude but I was desperate. Then, Varun comes in.

"Contract wife? Are you out of your mind?"

"I don't ask your opinion, Varun. Stay in your limit."

"And you also should stay in your limit, Ranbir."

"I don't want people to look at me like the way they look at my father, Varun!"

I yelled before I stood up. I turned away and walked towards the windows.

"I don't want people look at me as a failure, Varun."

"But you can't do that to Deepika, Ranbir. She didn't know anything."

Parineeti said to me.

"But I don't want people to look at me like the way they look at my father. I don't want people to think that I'm a failure. My father was an influence businessman but people makes him looked like an idiot when he was been accused for something that he didn't do! My father was innocent but they don't believe it. And now I want to prove to them that I can be the powerful person, influence and rich. They said I can't be this and that, but I will prove to them that I can. I can, Varun. I can, Parineeti..."

"Why you didn't tell me earlier?"

The question which makes me turned around. She was the one who asked that. I don't even realize she was there. In fact, I don't even want her to know about it. She walked towards me.

"Why you didn't tell me about this?"

"I don't think you need to know about this."

"Well, I think you were wrong. Can't you stop being so selfish, Ranbir?"

I don't know why but it left me speechless. Then, she continued.

"Listen, if that what you want to prove then I will help you but there will be some terms and conditions for you to know..."

"What is it?"

"First, let's drop this contract wife idea and goes with my idea."

"What's was your idea?"

"Let's make each of us live each other's life."

"You mean?"

"You have one week to make me love you and love your life and then I will make you love me and love my life. If one of us can't live in each other's life, then there will be no 'us'. Deal, Mr. Kapoor?"

She said before extend her hands for a handshake. Well, her idea sounds good.

"Deal...I'll start to make you love me and my life first. I'm sure you're going to love my luxurious life, Deepika."

"Okay...and I'm sure that you're going to love my simple life more than your luxurious life, Ranbir."

"If I can make you love me and my life, you're going to marry me..."

"And if you love my life and I can't live your life, then we will not marry each other. Okay?"

"Okay."

"Okay, so now I think I need to eat my breakfast because I'm so hungry. Come on, Varun...Parineeti...join us."

She said before she looked at me again.

"Us, right?"

She asked with a smile on her face while pointing at me and herself. I don't know but there's something good when I heard she referring me and herself as us. And the worst part is, I smiled.
