"Jacky, are you ok?" Asks Sam.
I don't reply, I keep coughing and shoot them both an evil look.
"Jacky!" Says Sam but I still don't answer.
When the coughing stops, I get up and walk over to their table. Sam just turns around and watches.
"So Sally" I say and they jolt apart.
"How's your sister doing in the company?"
"I can explain." Replies Sally.
"It's not what you think."
"Jacky, can we talk about this somewhere more private?" Asks Charles.
"Why?" I say angrily. "Oh I'm sorry, am I embarrassing you? Because that's what I do to cheaters."
Everyone in the Café is now looking at us.
"Please." Says Sally.
"Fine." I reply and we go outside.
"You said you can explain." I say as soon as we get outside.
Sally still says nothing.
"Go on."
They're still silent for a while, then finally, Charles speaks up.
"Jacky, please you can't tell your mom about this." He says.
Suddenly I get a great feeling of anger that I can't control.
I slap Charles.
"I probably deserved that." Says Charles.
"Just hear me out, if you tell your mom then she will be very heartbroken. Would you rather spend the next week comforting her or seeing her happy?"
I don't even answer because I'm not considering it. My love for Abel was the reason I was even out if the house. It was the reason I caught Charles cheating. And I wasn't going to forget what I saw. No matter what Charles says.
"You must be crazy if you think I'm going to let you keep cheating on my mom and get away with it." I say.
"In case you forgot, I never liked you."
I start to walk away but Charles grabs my hand
Now I know how Sam felt this morning. Man that's annoying.
"Please." He says.
"Tell me the truth Charles." I reply with a very serious look on my face
"Sally is my ex girlfriend. I hadn't seen her for the past four months because she moved so we broke up. I saw her for the first time yesterday so it's not like this has been going on for long."
I just roll my eyes and Charles continues.
"I tried to resist Sally, but I don't know what came over us. Im really really sorry but if I have to choose, I choose Sally."
Same feeling of anger, same crappy control over it.
I slap Charles. Really hard.
"I still deserve that." He says. "Jacky please let us tell her by ourselves. I want to be tbe one to tell her, at my own time. Please let me."
I almost consider it, but then reality strikes.
"No, I just can't." I say then I start to walk away.
"Jacky, wait." Says Sally.
"If you don't agree then... I'm going to fail you." Sally says, though I can sense that she didn't want to do it.
"What!" I reply in anger.
"If you don't agree to not say anything to your mom and let Charles tell her at his own time, then I am going to fail you in my subject and make you repeat your class." She says a little more confidently.
"I really don't think Harvard will accept you if you repeat a class." Says Sally.
"How did you-" I say confused but Sally cuts me off.
