I break the kiss, no matter how hard I wanted to keep kissing him. Mark's cheeks are as red as can be.
"I.... err... I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have done that.." he stumbles over his words while I'm at a loss to find them.
I gently smile at Mark, moving my hand to his face and brushing my thumb against his cheek. He nuzzles my hand grabbing mine with his own. As much as I want to be with him... It's probably not the right choice right now. There are still chapters that need to be closed at college before I can be with or even around him without worry.
"Mark." I speak softly un-pausing the moment we were sharing.
"Y-yeah?" He stutters slightly. His voice makes it so much harder.
"I don't know where this is going... But I'm worried we could be taking it too fast.." I say slowly, fidgeting with the sleeves of my shirt with my free hand.
"Oh, my god... I'm an idiot." He face-palmed turning away "god, how could I just kiss you, out of nowhere. I haven't even seen you more than 3 hours in the past two and a half years. I'm horrible... I'm so sorry y/n" he mumbles with his head in his hands.
Wrapping my arms around him, he frantically rubs his eyes. I don't want to imagine it's because of me. Although it's most likely the truth.
"Mark. It's not your fault. Please.. Don't beat yourself up about it..."
Ouch, my heart. He continues to mumble sorry's softly. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.
I press my lips against his cheek. Mark looks at me, a bit teary eyed. A sad smile lingered on his lips, I run my thumb against his scruff, he didn't have that when we last said goodbye.
This moment is one of those comfortable ones, one that you feel like you could peacefully live on in that moment forever.

Mark breaks the hug looking at coffee table seeing our phones laying next to the cups. "It's not mine. I think someone's calling Yours?" he reaches over to grab my phone and give it to me. His eyes are a bit red and puffy.
"Thanks, Markie." I say as he hands me my phone. He smiles.
'Caller: MOM'
"One sec,~" I say to him as I pick up the call, he nods. "Helloww?~"
"Y/n?" dad's voice emerges from the phone.
"Yes, dad?"
"Do you realize what time it is?" Dad's stern voice makes my hairs stand on end.
"N-no?......"
"We were supposed to leave at 2 to go to the store. It's 2:30." he sighs "where are you? do you want us to wait or go?" his voice softens.
"I.. erm I'm at Marks." I whisper.
"Mark? The Fischbach boy?" My father questions over the phone.
"Yes. that one, Dad."
"Oh... It's up to you. If you want to come we'll wait. Or stay with Mark. Just say the word.." I can hear a slight worry in his voice. I know exactly why.
He hasn't been so trusting of guys around me, since the whole Lawrence incident 6 months ago...
"I'll be there soon, Dad. Sorry for the wait. hehe.." Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Mark looking at the clock worried.
" Alright doll face, see you soon." with that Dad hangs up.
I look at Mark, he looks as if he were about to say something but I stop him... awkwardly.
"I urmm.. have to go Mark... I was supposed to have a family outing." I rub the back of my neck.
"Oh.. alright sorry to keep you then." He smiles apologetically.
"No need for an apology! I wasn't paying attention to the time." I kiss his cheek, standing up straightening my clothes. His hand touches were I'd kiss him. I seem him smiling to himself. "Bo-bo. let's go girl." Mark stands up too and the four of us (Marks dog too) Walk over to the door. I quickly pull on my coat and scarf.
