I awake to my mom yelling at me from downstairs. "You're gonna be late for school!"
I quickly get out of bed, and start getting dressed.
Where did the weekend go? I think as I put on a black, plain bra and matching underwear. For good luck of course.
Oh yeah, arguing with Alex and talking to Samantha and Anna in Ohio. I slip on a black tank top and a dark blue flannel. As I'm brushing my hair and putting it into a messy bun, I slide on black shorts and black knee socks with black Doc Martin's. Being five feet and five inches, the boots help me get to five feet and seven inches.
I shove everything the school's website said I needed and some gum into my crimson red backpack. I keep my phone and my cast in a wallet-phone case, which gets shoved into my back pocket.
"Sorry honey, I wish I could drive you since your car still needs to get here, but Alex offered you a ride so I told him you'll take it. Here's a pack of Poptarts, please eat that at school. Oh, and I'll be home around one a.m today."
She quickly leaves and leaves me standing there with a Poptart packet in my left hand. I put my phone into my backpack and walk outside after locking all the doors.
I look and see Alex, leaning against a black motorcycle. "Sorry that I don't have a helmet for you, princess. You could wear mine, but it'll be big." He holds out his helmet and I take it.
"Please don't tell me you have lice," I mumble and slip on the helmet.
"Don't worry, I don't. Hop on." He gets on his bike and I get on right after him, looking for the strap to hold onto. Unable to find it, I unwillingly wrap my arms around his stomach.
"Oh God, I'm gonna die." I press my cheek against his back as he starts driving.
"I won't let you," he chuckles, stopping at the first red light. He adjusts my hold on him, moving my hands down his abs and to his belly button area. "It's safer to hold on there. It seems like I'll be giving you regular rides now so hold on."
I smile, not moving my cheek from his back. "Thanks."
We get to school a little while later and everyone is staring at us, mainly Alex though. He greets a few of his friends and leads me to the office.
"Ella Gone." I say and get my schedule and locker number and combo.
Alex grabs my schedule and looks at his, "we have a couple classes together, that's good."
That's good? I stare at him in shock.
"You want to have classes with me?" I blur out.
"Yeah, I wanna let people know that we're friends."
"We're friends?"
"Shut up, princess and let me show you where your locker is."
He points out a few important parts of the school and guides me around a little. Through out the whole time, I feel eyes staring at me.
I tug on Alex's jacket and lean over to his ear. "Why are so many people staring at me?"
"If you're talking about the guys, it's just cause you're hot. If you're talking about the girls, it's because you're with me." He replied.
Oh. I let go if his jacket and frown.
"Brighten up sunshine, I'll be here the whole time." He smiles.
Wow he can smile too, not just smirk. I laugh silently and the bell rings.
He grabs my hand and takes me to my first class. "I'll be out here when the bell rings at the end of class, after that the next three classes you have are with me. After four classes, there's lunch. Then you'll have three more classes, the fifth and seventh one with me, but the sixth one without. Good luck."
