Chapter 16: The Reaper's GateWay

One Month Later.

A month has gone by since the void incident, the two remained sleep for sometime, I wondered only being able to sit here if they were ever gonna awake from there long slumber, I waited here in the room where they were placed, just me, Hitomi and Melody, although I didn't know why Melody stuck around when she's from Another universe but still I was grateful she stuck around "You think they'll wake up again?" I asked. "I don't know, I just sent him into a deep sleep, it all depends on how long it takes to restore his memories, honestly there's no telling how long it'll take to bring him back," she said. "Why would do something that you honestly can't control, there's no grantee that he'll wake again," Mika said while becoming livid. "Come down Mika, I know he's your son, but what can we do there's no way to force him to wake up, now is there, so we'll have to wait," Hitomi said.

I slowly opened my eyes then closed them back because of how bright it was, I waited a few seconds then reopened them it was still bright but the light didn't bother me as much as it did when I opened them the first time. I looked around I didn't recognize the place so I tired my best to understand what was going on, I couldn't see out the side my eyes but I could tell that there was a person laying next to me, I couldn't move so I thought of a plan so I could instantly move "Shin-bor-u," I struggled to say. The power that the Shinboru had flowed once again into my body and I was able to move, I turned my head to the side and the unknown person I didn't know was the one I last saw during the night Hitomi and Yuka was with Hitomi, her clothes were tore and Staind with blood, I could guess something happen while I was gone, or unconscious. I quickly got up and moved from the spot I laid, abruptly the girl I lauded by begun to scream, I suddenly hide under the platform she was on "She's at it again, Harmony and Melody hold her down, Mika help me out," She said while entering the room. The four gathered around the platform and started doing something to her "She's not stabilizing her heart rate," Harmony said. "Her eyes are open," Melody said.

"Shin-bor-u 2x!" She yelled. The power flowed inside her and she went wild, she broke free from the grips of those around her, abruptly I rolled from under the platform and grabbed my scythe "Autumn!" They all said. "My scythe, who did this to my scythe?" I asked. "Well to be total honest, you did that to your scythe," Melody answered. "And her," I said. "She did that to herself," she said once more. "Wait who the hell are you ?" I asked. "My name is Melody, I'm from another universe or in other words, I'm harmony but by another name," she answered. "Oh okay, well cool, but that doesn't explain why your here and why's Tsumi like this, so can someone explain this while I'm fighting cause she's coming," I said. Abruptly she jumped off the platform and went right after me, "Apparently this started right you were put under a spell and dragged to a void by Alysia, she compressed your memories so you wouldn't remember the people you know, Tsumi brought your unconscious body here where it drifted away into the void as well, she went after you by entering the void under a new name, her search wasn't that hard considering that Alysia just recreated the world you already know, she sampled your memories to create the void, it took a few for the plan that melody devise to work but it did, in the end Tsumi ended up using power she doesn't know how to tame, so that's why she's like that," Hitomi explained.

She tackled me out of the building and into the graveyard "Tsumi right I understand your still Dreaming and that's fine, but your body isn't, you won't see me for awhile because it seems I broke my scythe while fighting you, but it's fine I'm not mad at you, you just gave me a excuse to go see Hitomi and Yuka, plus I'll get to get a new weapon, so thank you," i said. I dashed towards her than hugged her "Thank you for becoming my friend, thank you for saving me again, thank you for caring for me so much, and thank you for taking care someone as careless as me," I said. I hugged her a little longer, her scream filled the air with sadness, I then raised my hand and hit her in her weak spot, the screaming came to a end, the girl's body was unable to move, I held her up then picked her up and carried her back to the platform.

My body couldn't hold it self together any longer, I collapsed, but I was still conscious, they walked up from behind "your truly amazing, but your still an idiot," Hitomi said. And thus I went back to laying down while my body healed, he time it took for my body to heal was about Two to three days but it took longer for me to regain my abilities like walking and moving my arms once again, the Shinboru took a toll on my body just like Tsumi but lucky I was already back on my feet within two weeks although my ability to fight had to wait, because my body wasn't full healed but only healed to the point I could move on my own. "Your leaving already, I think you should wait for a bit before you go off journeying again," Hitomi said. "I appreciate your concerns about me but I must go, I wanna get my scythe fixed as soon as possible, plus shouldn't you be heading back as well ?" I asked. "Well, yes I should be heading back, it's about time to resume classes," she replied. "Plus I bet your daughter's waiting for you to return," I said. "Yeah Hiromi's fine, she's been alright since then," she said. "What about Yuka ?" I asked. "She's still wondering who killed her sister, I told her that I know but in all honesty I don't really know who did it, I've been searching for answers but I couldn't find anything," she replied. "What about her sister, I'm pretty sure she gotta be somewhere right," I said. "Yeah, but her whereabouts are unknown, I've asked around but I don't know where she could be," she said.

"Well as for now, we'll put that to the side for now, but there are other things that are important, has anyone seen Alysia ?" I asked. "We've been with you two this whole time of recover so we haven't had the chance to do nothing but change, eat and handle hygiene, so we wouldn't know where she is," she said. "I believe it's about time we leave isn't it," I said. "Yeah it is I suppose," she said. "What about you Melody ?" I asked. "Well I'll be heading back as well, I'm pretty sure, I'm needed back where I'm from," she replied. "I wanted to thank the other lady but she's not here, well whatever, I'll thank her when I see her again," I said. "Oh right I almost forgot, when Tsumi wakes up from her slumber, give her this bag," Melody said while handing it to Harmony. "What's in it ?" She asked. "It's a parting gift, she'll know what it is when she sees," she replied. The three of us left the sleeping Karma to rest in the hands of Harmony, we left into the cemetery "Pōtaru egress," we all said. "I guess this is it," I said. "Yeah I suppose, if you ever miss me, ask Harmony, she'll send a message to me, and I'll be back in a hurry," she said. The portal for Melody opened, she then walked though it, "remember yourself before you remember me Autumn," she said just before the portal closed. "Remember myself," I thought. The door arose from the ground and stood tall, a weapon holder appeared, I then placed my scythe in it's place, the glowed green then abruptly turned red "Autumn Kawasaki, you have broken your death weapon, and must now be sent to the underworld to craft or fight for another, you may proceed," the door said just before opening. "Well what are you gonna do ?" She asked. "Just want it said, this door is a special door, I guess you don't use this door when going to and from the underworld, this door is for reapers only so any one without reaper authorization is forbidden to enter if they do you'll instantly die," I explained. "Huh I didn't know that," she said. "Well yeah that's why it's called the reaper gateway, reapers only, but this door now leads to the crating weapon shop because it saw that my weapon was destroyed but any other time it'll let me go anywhere I want," I said. Our conversation continued as we started our long walk down the the reaper's gateway, the ended one long story but soon started another, this was what I knew was to come, but I could only hope for the recovery of Tsumi to be alright, as I took step after step I was glad to return to an old place but I feared the worst cause I left the place that should be protected by me, as I said I could only hope for the best with everything that romans my mind freely like a bird in the sky.
