Taken From School

Days passed, I just pretended not to know about the whole vampire and witch thing, and acted normal as I could around the Salvatore brothers, which wasn't very good because I think that they both good tell that I was scared shitless whenever the were around me because of how fast my heart beat. Aunt Jenna decided to in role me back into school, don't really know why. I already took the exams two years ago and didn't need to take them again. But she wanted me to be a normal girl teenager... like that is going to happen! Everyone around me was still sitting and staring at me, probably wondering why I was back here. Being back in high-school is quite boring and weird, too. People kept giving me funny looks because I was in a class full of teenagers that were my age. All of my old friends at the front of class, talking and laughing with each other while glancing back at me every now and then, it was starting to annoy me. Students had been giving me  funny looks since I started on Monday and it was Thursday now, and I was in my last lesson doing nothing, except looking around at the old faces that I knew. Our teacher was late, don't really know why or actually care at this moment in time. Yea, that's right...I don't care about school or books or anything to do with learning, anymore, ever since I found out about vampires and other mythical creatures in this world. They sounded cool, and I wanted to learn more but was too scared to found out about them, though.

Snapping me out of my thoughts, Mr. Saltzman walked into the room and said "Sorry, I'm late. Got held up with another teacher in the corridor." After that, he began teaching us about the history of our town and I zoned out because I already knew all of this, and I really didn't want to hear a repeat of it.

Looking out the window, I saw a man. He was about twenty to twenty-three with blonde hair and bright blue eyes, just like Damon's, but these held darkness in them from what I could see. Darkness that was there because something was missing in his life, something that had been missing for a very long time. "Amy?" Mr. Saltzman said, getting my attention.

"Yes?" I asked.

He sighed and replied "What's the answer?"

Raising my eyebrows, I was confused. "For what?" I asked.

Nearly everyone in the class turned around and looked at me with shock written all over there faces. Okay...that's not weird, not one little bit. "Doesn't matter, I can already tell you weren't listening to me." Mr. Saltzman said, shaking his head. If he knew that I wasn't listening to him then why did he pick me to answer the question? "I am disappointed in you, Amy."

"Good to know." I said, sarcastically.

Turning my attention back to the window, the man was gone. He had disappeared into thin air in the last minute, which was strange since no one can move that fast unless...No, he can't be one of them. He can't be a vampire can he? My mind must be playing tricks on me at the moment, that or I'm dreaming and soon I'll wake up in my bed in the College dorms with the girls talking about the hot guys and how they can easily get them in bed. Another thin was on my mind, Mr. Saltzman is going out with Aunt Jenna, which means that he's going to tell her what I did today...great! She'll probably have ago at me, saying that I should pay attention to the teachers and not go rogue, even though I've already passed of the exams that I need to pass. Really don't know why I'm in school, but I don't think I'm allowed to be left home without an adult present, just in case something happens. Listening to the bell ring, everyone in the room got up, packed their stuff into their bags and existed the classroom but as I was about to leave  the classroom, I got stopped by the teacher. Mr. Saltzman, or Alaric, stepped in front of the door and folded his arms, sighing before speaking. "I am really disappointed in you, Amy. You should know better." He told me. And when I didn't say anything back to him, he just carried on talking. "Why are you acting like this? Jenna said you were a very polite and innocent girl."

Sighing, I replied with "Did she now?" and Alaric nodded. "Well, why don't you put yourself in my shoes and see how it feels to be the one that has to do everything right all the bloody time." I said, walking around him and heading for the classroom door, but didn't leave until I had finished. "It sucks by the way," Then I left, strolling out of the room and over to my locker with everyone in the halls looking at me, either with a disappointed look on their faces, glaring at me or probably wondering why I was at school.

Rumors had been going around about why I was back at school, loads of people where spreading them around like wild fire and I couldn't be bothered to stop them, there was no point. All I heard as I was walking down the school halls were the stupid rumors about me, especially when no one decided to talk quiet about them, either. "I heard that she was kicked out of College because she had sex with a teacher." A girl said, looking over at me in disgust.

"Nah, that's isn't why she's here. Amy Gilbert is here because she was caught selling drugs on site," Someone else mumbled as I passed, heading for the last lesson of the day, which was Science. Everyone believed that rumor more than any other rumor because Jeremy used to deal drugs to people at school after our parents died and I left Mystic Falls for College.

Walking into Science, I saw that I had been put in Elena's class with her friends and year. Nice...this is going to be fun, she already hates me and this can make her hate me even more. This week isn't my week, I need a do-over right now!! Elena and her friends, which happened to be the popular group, raised their eyebrows and then started talking about why the hell I was in their class. "It's not like I actually want to be here." I mumbled, talking a seat by the window, away from my older sister and her group of friends, which looked like they hated me as much as Elena did.

Last lesson of the day and then I could go home, and crawl up in a ball on my and not come out of my room for the rest of the night. That was my plan! No one would be able to bother or look at me in a strange way if I was in my room. "Okay, settle down and take your seats." Our Science teacher said, getting everyone in the room to be quiet. "We have a new student with us...well, I wouldn't call her new but she hasn't been with us for a few months. Everyone welcome back Amy Gilbert," She said, clapping and making all of the other students clap with her.

School would be over in half an hour. Yay! Can't wait to go home, just need to get through the next thirty minutes and I'll be fine. Looking around the classroom while everyone was doing their work, I saw Elena. She looked upset, panicking about something as both of her friends, Bonnie and Caroling, were trying to calm her down. I wonder what's wrong? Eh...no one will probably tell me, though so should I worry about her? I mean...she doesn't really care about me, so is there any point worrying about my sister? Knocking came from the classroom door, and the office assistant came in, she was smiling like usual.

"How can I help you?" Miss Dix asked, smiling. The office assistant just handed her a piece of paper, not saying anything, before walking back out of the classroom and letting everyone wonder what was on the note. "Amy Gilbert?" She said, making me snap my head up and look over at her as everyone else looked over at me.

"Yes,"

Miss Dix waved her hand over to me, wanting me to come to the front of the class. Getting up, I grabbed my bag and walked up to the front of the room, stopping in front of the teacher. "Someone's come to pick you up, they're waiting at the front office for you." She said, handing me the green sticky note.

Nodding, I walked over to the door and opened it but not before I looked over at Elena. She was looking at me with fear in her eyes, along with her friends. Then I left the room, wondering who came to pick me up thirty minutes before school got out for the day. A bit weird if ya tell me, but it's got to be important.

Strolling down the hallways, I spotted Jeremy in his class and he saw me, too. He looked confused when I waved to me. It took me about five minutes to get to the front office, and in there was three people. The two office assistance and a man, who was turned around, so I couldn't see his face. Sensing my presence in the room, the blonde haired man turned around.

"There she is," He smirked.
