10. Showing Strength

'Violet, it's nice to see you again' Milisav said from up in a tree. I was dreaming and finally I was talking to my family.

'Milisav!'

He hopped down and embraced me in a hug.

Milisav could be wherever he wanted so he usually visited people in their dreams. He was the son of the moon goddess, Selene.

'How is my favourite niece?'

A tear fell from my eye and he hugged me tighter.

'Please don't cry Violet'

'I want to go home'

'Your mate is stirring in his sleep. I'll see you soon Violet'

He disappeared and I woke up. Milisav was right, Alpha Reid was stirring around in his sleep. I think he was having a nightmare.

"No, stay away from me. Get off me" he mumbled in his sleep.

I shook him and his eyes widened.

"What now?" He grunted.

"You were having a nightmare" I spoke softly.

He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Go back to sleep Violet" he said getting up from the bed. I blushed as he walked to his cupboard, completely naked.

He pulled on a tight shirt and sweatpants.

He walked over to my side of the bed and grabbed my face.

"Go to sleep"

He went to walk away but I grabbed his hand.

"What?" He growled.

"Please stay until I fall asleep" I said quietly.

He groaned and I moved over so he could fit in the bed too.

He laid down and I stared up at his big figure. He looked down at me and narrowed his eyes.

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

I crawled on top of him and rested my head on his chest. He was so big that I fit my whole body on him. My head was on his chest and my feet didn't reach his.

His hands rested by his side and mine were wrapped around his chest.

I smiled, loving the feeling of my mate.

I fell asleep quite quickly after that but before everything went dark I swear I felt something around my waist. Was that Alpha Reid's arms? He.. He was cuddling me?

I woke up and I was all alone. Typical.

I pulled on one of Alpha Reid shirts and it went down to my knees. I didn't want to walk out there in my workout gear that I wore yesterday.

I walked downstairs and Alpha Reid was sitting at the table with Diego and they were both drinking coffee.

"Good Morning" I spoke loudly with a smile on my face.

"Good Morning Luna" Diego said.

Alpha Reid glared at Diego and then looked at me.

"What's up your bum cranky pants"

He growled at me and I giggled.

"So Diego was telling me that you knocked out one of our guards at the border"

I smirked and crossed my arms over my chest.

"He was an easy win" I spoke with confidence.

"Diego match up against her"

"What Alpha.. Don't let me fight our Luna. I don't want to hurt her"

"Do it" Alpha Reid growled.

Diego advanced towards me and I quickly dodged him as he aimed for my throat.

"She's quick on her feet" Diego growled, his wolf edging to come out.

"She has Alpha blood in her" Reid said to Diego. "But she's still a pup"

That got me riled up. I growled and lunged for Alpha Reid. I ended up clawing his face, leaving huge scratches down his face.

I looked at Diego and he quickly threw a punch at my face. Before it could make impact I grabbed his hand and twisted it. A loud crack echoed through the house and Diego screamed. His shoulder had fully popped out of the socket. He fell to his knees and I kicked him in the chest causing him to fly back into the wall. I went advance towards him but Aloha Reid grabbed me so I couldn't move.

"Let me go" I growled. My wolf had taken full power over my body. This wasn't me. I'd never harm Diego like this.

"Stop Violet. That's enough"

"You call me a pup. You call me weak. Well I'm not. I'm an Alpha's daughter. I'm the best fighter in my pack"

"Stop this at once Violet. Go upstairs and I'll run you a bath" he said in his Alpha tone.

I snapped my teeth at him before running up the stairs. I sat on his bed and 5 minutes later he was in front of me.

He pulled my shirt from my body and I was quick to cover up. I hadn't worn a bra so I was standing there in my underwear.

He quickly turned around with his fists clenched and started running the bath.

I walked up behind him and rested my hands on his back. He tensed up and turned around slowly.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"You need to be clean"

"Is the big bad Alpha finally starting to care?" I teased him.

"No" he said and then turned around.

"Geez take a chill pill. Was just trying to lighten the mood"

"Well it didn't work now did it" he said gruffly.

I slid my underwear off once the water was nearly toppling out of the bath and he picked me up placing me in the tub.

I moaned as the hot water engulfed my body.

Alpha Reid's eyes shut quickly and his fists were turning white. I grabbed his hands quickly and he pulled them away as quick as I grabbed them, like I had burnt him.

"Where are you going?" I asked as he left the bathroom.

"I have work to do"

And he left me there, soaking by myself in the tub.
