Always: A Snamione Fanfiction (WATTYS 2017)

Wake Up, Please

Last chapter was a pretty big cliffhanger... So here is a new chapter to tell what happens. I suck at describing things.

•Severus•

As I walked down the barren hallways, I thought about what just happened. I mean how stupid could I actually be? Asking a student to have relations with me, I could be fired or worse, arrested by her muggle parents. This could ruin me.

But I don't care.

This girl who is becoming a wonderful, brave, and intelligent woman, has stolen my heart. Just like Lily Evans did in the past. I quickly pushed away thoughts of Lily and turned the corner to get to my classroom. I then went to my office and to my private quarters door.

"Cauldron" I whispered. The door opened and I went inside and shut the door rather quickly. I went to my room, and grabbed a few items. I made my way to my bathroom and shut the door. I looked in the mirror, and just stared.

What does she see in me? I'm disgusting. I'm old. I'm rude. I'm snarky. I'm hideous. I'm worthless. I thought to myself. I remained at the mirror, but this time I took off my robes. The scars from that bastard's snake stood out like a sunflower in winter. I couldn't help but glance down at my body. My arms in particular. The scars from my teenage years still visible after all these years. I turned on the shower and let the water get hot. I stood there in the water and let it relax my tense muscles.

After about thirty minutes later, I got out and dried myself with a drying spell. I put on my pajamas, a muggle pair of black and grey plaid pants and a black t-shirt. I dried my hair and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of fire whiskey and a glass. Then I heard a noise from the living room. The fireplace in particular.

"Severus." I soon realised it was Hermione.

"Yes" I answered back

"May I please come over to your place?" She asked.

"If we get caught-"

"We won't. Please?" She begged.

"Fine." I said and a minute later, she was standing in front of me.

"Thank you so-" that was all she said before she lost all the colour in her face, and started to fall down. I caught her before she hit the floor and put her on the couch.

"Oh no. No no no no. Wake up. Please wake up." I said. I ran to my Potions cabinet and grabbed a few Potions. I tilted her head so they would go down easier and poured them into her mouth. And prayed that they would work.

Thirty minutes later
Still Severus.

It's been thirty minutes, and she still hasn't woke up. I paced the floor, what could I do? Madam Pomfrey wouldn't know what to do, so all I can do is wait.

"Severus." I heard her ask. I ran to her side.

"Yes. I'm here Hermione. I'm here." I said, panicky like.

"Hand me the bag I brought with me. And could you get me a glass of water?" She asked. I did the two favours, and she took out three bottles of what looked like pills. They were. She put one of each in her mouth and swallowed them with water.

"I have to do this twice a day. One is the Chemo. The other two aren't really important, but I still have to take them." She said.

"Are you okay? You gave me quite a scare." I said, sounding like a father instead of a significant other.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. That's normal now. I've done it twice now.." She trailed off.

"Are you tired?" I asked, kissing the top of her head. She nodded, too tired to sleep. I picked her up, and carried her to my room. I put her on the bed and covered her with the quilt. I grabbed my pillow and a blanket and started to walk out, when she grabbed my hand.

"Stay. Please." Was all she could say. I got on my side of the bed and laid down. She took my arm and put it around her waist.

This is all I remember before falling asleep. With no nightmares this time.

If you could go to Hogwarts, what house do you think you'd be in? I'd be in Ravenclaw because I'm always reading, and constantly correcting people.
