Ballad
Many years have passed
Many lives have gone
Time moves very very fast
But I'm still moving on
said the old man at the museum
The old mans name is Walt
He was a fireman long ago
His mind is like a vault
I'll tell you what I know
said the old man at the museum
He talks about what life was like
As a fireman on the job
Some things were good and some were bad
And some would make you sob
Said the old man at the museum
I'm grateful that I met this man
And learned about his past
Firemen have special live
"I've always had a blast"
Said the old man at the museum
__________
Walt is a guy that volunteers at the San Antonio fire museum with my father and I and after spending time with Walt I decided I would write a ballad about him. Well I ended up making a copy of it and putting it in a frame as a present for him. When I gave it to him his face lit up with joy seeing that I wrote something for him. I am very lucky to be able to spend time working with him.
This is also the last one I am writing for now I may or may not write more later on though.
