Wendy got a call from Romeo's dad early the next morning when the birds were just starting to sing.

He said he wanted her to come over so his son could apologize. The potion was had worn off early thanks to the doctors' antidote. He also informed her that he was staying off his leg to recover to make sure it was healing right, which was what Wendy had asked him to do. Her magic had healed his broken leg most of the way, but she knew he should stay off of it just to be on the safe side.

Wendy hung up her phone and prepared herself.

"Carla, I'm going."

"I'll stay here. I don't think it would be right of me to go," she said, "This is your situation. How you handle it should be your choice."

"I don't care if you go or stay," Wendy smiled at her exceed and left the door open on her way out. She heard it close when she was halfway down the street. When she looked back Carla was not there.

"Go get him girl," Carla smiled to herself as she had shut the door behind her bestest friend.

Wendy walked nervously. Slow, slow, quick, quick, and then slow, slow again. She was not sure what to expect. She had no idea how to prepare herself other than to try and stay calm. Her heart beat furiously in her chest.

She approached Romeo's house. As she went to ring the doorbell, she noticed her hand trembling.

His father came and greeted her, letting her inside. She gathered up all her courage and met Romeo in the living room as his dad went to make tea in the kitchen.

They stood in awkward silence. Neither knew where to start or what to say. Both were afraid to say something that would make the tension worse. A sudden crash of glass shattering in the kitchen made them both jump and then blush because they were embarassed that they had done so.

"Oh for cryin' out loud!" They heard him shout from the kitchen.

It was then that they both had to laugh.

Taking the chance to muster up her courage, she began with, "Have you been staying off you leg?"

"When I can..." Romeo looked away. He obviously wanted to apologize, but didn't know how to say it all. "Wendy, I-"

"I know you liked me before the potion. And its okay. I forgive you. About everything."

Romeo blushed. "It's not just that! Wendy, I don't know anyone as s-stunning as you! You're kind and sweet. And also very capable. Your wind magic and healing powers are amazing, and... and.... I like you! I feel really bad about what I did when the potion took control over me. I didn't want to make you avoid me..."

Wendy relaxed. Before she could say the same to him, Romeo's dad came out of the kitchen, saying, "I kinda broke the tea set. Oh well... I'll have to buy another, I guess, heheh. Well, Romeo, did you apologize?"

Romeo nodded. "Everything's good, dad."

"Great! Hey I'm going to go see if we have another set of tea cups and a kettle in the garage. Thanks for stopping by, Wendy!" With that, Romeo's dad left.

As soon as the door closed, Romeo stood and stuttered, "s-s-soo.... I-I... er... w-well.... y-y-you see..."

Wendy immediately saw what was coming and stood up from the couch with a startle and began stuttering as well, "I guess... w-w-what.... m-maybe w-we could.... er...."

They both stopped and laughed. The two were standing very close. Wendy saw Romeo's deep brown eyes and he saw hers. Before they knew it they were locked in each others' gaze, leaning in to kiss, but they separated almost as soon as their lips touched.

"I-Im so, so sorry... I didn't mean to-"

"We both kinda l-leaned in. Its alright," Wendy smiled, which put Romeo at ease.

"You should probably head home, its almost lunchtime," Romeo mentioned.

"Why doesn't she just eat here?" A voice suddenly said. It was Romeo's father again, holding a box that contained a really old tea set.

The two instantly hoped he hadn't seen their kiss.

On his way into the kitchen with the tea set, Romeo saw his dad wink at him.
