It was another boring day I wish something exciting would happen I wish Mr. Right would walk through that door and swoop me off my feet and solve all my problems but that wasn't going to happen in fact it's never going to happen as long as I'm stuck here it's not. I sighed pouring another cup of coffee for another customer. I'm noticing a re occurrence with the word another. Another boring day, another cup of coffee, another. And just like that the door opened and look at that another customer. The albino sat down at the front counter taking off his sunglasses before putting his head down.
"Looks like someone had a rough day," I remarked leaning against the counter next to where he was sitting.
"Yeah," he replied.
"You want a cup?" I asked holding out the pot of coffee.
"No I'm fine thanks," he said.
"Oh alright," I said feeling a little down. I had gotten used to every customer sitting down so I could take down their order and get them whatever they wanted but this time this time it was different. "Oh okay if there's anything else you need just ask," I said.
But before I walked away he lifted his head up and answered, "Well actually if you wouldn't mind sitting down and talking to me I'd really appreciate it,".
I could feel my cheeks heat up as I tried coming up with an excuse so I couldn't talk to this perfectly handsome stranger. "I um," I stuttered before my clumsy brother Feliciano who I suspect was listening to the previous conversation walked up to me.
"You know I could take over your shift now sit down and enjoy yourself," Feliciano said. "Okay," I muttered worried that he might be biting off more than he could chew, "Don't work yourself to death got it?". "Got it," he said enthusiastically. I sighed sitting down from across this total complete stranger muttering under my breath, "God help that boy,".
It was awkwardly silent for the first few seconds before I spoke up. "I believe introductions are in order. I'm Lovino," I said. "Gilbert," he said. "So what seems to be troubling you that you've lost all sense and started talking to a complete stranger about your problems?" I asked sarcastically. "Wow are you always this sarcastic while you're at work?" Gilbert asked. "No I'm especially worse at work and don't even get me started on how I act after work hours," I said. "I'd like to see you after hours ~," Gilbert winked.
"Okay you can stop where you are flirting with your waitress rookie mistake and secondly-," I stopped in mid sentence when I smelled smoke coming from the kitchen. "Excuse me for a second," I said running to the kitchen. "Feliciano!" I screamed. "I'm sorry I'm sorry!" he cried., I grabbed the fire extinguisher off of the wall putting the fire out. I threw the fire extinguisher to the ground as I heard our boss walking down the stairs with an angry expression on his face like always. I knew I was in for it now. "What the hell is going on!" he yelled. I stepped forward, "It was my fault I was slacking off again and Feli was covering for me I knew I shouldn't of let him do my work but I did anyways I'm sorry,".He took a deep breath shaking his head in disappointment, "This is the fifth time this week and we can;t keep having accidents like this. Your both fired and Lovino I expect you packed and moved out of here by tomorrow got it?". I nodded, "Yes sir,".
I trudged up the stairs Feli following behind me. I opened the door to my small one room apartment above the cafe. "I'm sorry for getting you fired," Feliciano said as I shoved my clothes and belongings into my bag. "Its not your fault you just wanted me to have a good time and have a conversation," I said shoving the rest of my things into my bag zipping it up and putting it over my shoulder. "Where are you going?" Feli asked. "Why stay stay where I'm not wanted?" I asked. "But where will you go?"he asked. "I don't know but I'll figure something out ," I said. "You can always stay with me and Lugwig," Feli offered. "No no I'm fine I don't want to be in the middle of whatever you two do with your free time,"I replied. "Okay but our door is always open," Feli said.
I had no idea where I was going to go I had no food no money hell I barely have a decent winter jacket but I didn't want Feliciano to worry about me. There is nothing more embarrassing then having your little brother worried about you but I knew it was the only out of the kindness of his heart I couldn't stay mad at him. Even if he did get me fired. I only wish the fucking bus would come faster I'm freezing my ass off but at least it can't get worse. I spoke to soon I looked up to see the first of the white stuff started falling from the sky. I let out a loud sigh as the strong wind blew my scarf off my shoulders. I chased it down the street grabbing it as it tried to fly off only to notice that the bus had pass as I was chasing my runaway scarf. I ran back to the bus stop only to have the bus driving away. Oh great what luck I missed the bus what am I going to do now. I looked back at the coffee shop it was just closing and I wasn't going to bother asking if I could stay for one more night I sat at the bench waiting for the next bus knowing it wouldn't come until the next morning. I let out another sigh looking back at the coffee shop and thinking about that guy I had a conversation with. Where did he go anyways.
