Pete's POV

It's a harsh summer, with daytime highs and nighttime lows. I hate it. All my friends except Brendon are at home while I rot in summer camp. Hoo rah. I hate this stupid place. The bathrooms are dirty, my dorm stinks, and I have no friends. My dorm has one empty bed for this kid that was supposed to get here yesterday but didn't show up yet.

I'm sure he'll be just like most of the people here. Preppy and rude. I wish it was winter so I wouldn't have to endure this immense torture. Anyway, it's time for lunch.

We all walked to the lunchroom and got in line. It was like any other day here, get your gross mashed potatoes and questionable meat, get a glass of orange juice and move along to a seat. But I was never invited to a table, so I just sat by my dormmates and didn't say anything. I ate and got back to my dorm. I sat on my bed and got out my laptop. I started to watch a movie, but something seemed different. I shut the lid and looked around. There was nobody in my dorm. I was confused. I opened the door and looked around outside. Everyone was sat around the middle of the camp on the benches. Ah, just me being awkward.

"Mr. Wentz, where have you been?" Mike, the camp counselor asked in a stern voice. "Oh, uh, I was in my dorm. I didn't know there was a meeting." He glared at me. "Whatever, just go sit down." I sat down next to Brendon, my only friend here. "Hey, Pete. We were just talking about the kid missing and how he'll be here tomorrow." I nodded. "Okay, so he'll be here tomorrow, and his name is Patrick. Y'all can go back to your dorms now." We all walked back hazily. I turned on my laptop again and watched movies all night.

I woke up the next day with my laptop on my chest. We had a gathering today about the boy coming. His car drove into the camp, and when the boy stepped out, I felt the entire world stop for a second. He was beautiful. He was wearing a red cardigan with a white shirt, black pants, black shoes, and-get this, a Fedora. I was crushing hard. He was so gorgeous, from the way his hair shined in the sunlight, to his extremely nice legs that could make any pants look nice. And don't get me started on his butt. He waved awkwardly and smiled in an uncomfortable way. "Hi, I'm Patrick Stump, and I guess I'm in dorm twelve." He's in my dorm! I already knew that, but I finally have a pretty guy here. Besides Brendon. Bren's pretty cute too. Patrick sat by me. "Hi, I'm Pete Wentz. I play bass and I like pizza." He smiled a beautiful toothy smile. "Hi, Pete. What dorm are you in?" I laughed awkwardly. "Yours. The bed next to mine is empty. That's where you go." He nodded. "Who else is in our dorm?" "Well, there's Brendon, Ryan, Josh, and Tyler. I don't really know anyone but Bren at the moment but the others seem cool I guess." Mike glared at us for talking through his whole speech. "You are all free to go." We walked around the camp. "Here's the bathrooms and showers, that building is the cafeteria, and that's our dorm." We went to it. "Here's your bed." I pointed to the unused bed next to mine. He sat down. "So, did your parents make you come here too?" Patrick looked at me with hurt eyes. "Uh, can I n-not talk about it?" His voice shook as he spoke. I nodded and looked at him better. He had true sadness in his eyes. "Ah, nobody's in here, it must be lunchtime," I said, changing the subject quickly. We stood up at the same time, causing me to bump into him and knocking him over. He laughed. I stuck my hand out. "Thanks, Pete."

Patrick's POV

We got up from our beds, he bumped into me. I fell on the ground and laughed a little. I looked up at his face. He's gorgeous. Wait, no. Boobs boobs boobs. Straight as a board. He held his hand out. "Thanks, Pete." I grabbed it, immediately noticing how large his hands are compared to mine. He looked at me. Our gaze was broken by the door swinging open. He yanked me up and we stood there awkwardly.

"Uh, hey guys. What are you doing in here and not in the lunchroom?" It was Brendon. "Oh, um, we were just heading there," Pete said. "The line got shorter, so you guys can go get your food. We just started eating." "Super," Pete said sarcastically. We all walked to the cafeteria. It was loud and smelled gross. Expected. We got our food and sat down. "Everyone introduce yourselves to Patrick," Pete said. "I'm Ryan." "I'm Tyler." "I'm Josh." "You know me sort of, I'm Brendon." I waved at everyone. We finished eating and sat around talking. It was time to go to an activity, so we got up and walked to it. It was horseback riding. The instructor talked mindlessly for a bit. "And that's why you should never walk behind a horse. Now, let's get to riding!" I rolled my eyes. Who is dumb enough to walk behind a horse? Anyways, we rode horses for a bit. The instructor said that we could walk around away from her but told us to stay in the camp. Again, who's dumb enough to do that? I found Pete. "Hey Pete." He was on a brown horse and I was on a black one. He smiled at my arrival. "Hey Pat." We rode around the camp away from everyone.

After about an hour, it was time to return the horses. We trotted back to the activities area. The horses were returned, and it was dinner by the time we got to our dorm.

This first chapter is trash, I'll try harder next time ;) -Matthew
