Hi guys. I know it's been forever and I'm really sorry. But hears a chapter and I'll try to write more soon. I've been up late and felty motivated so hopefully I'll make some more chapters.
Nico's POV
I froze. Oh gods. Oh gods. Oh gods. I sat up and Hazel and I exchanged glances. I turned around on the couch and looked at Persephone. She had shopping bag in her hands, her blond hair was perfectly done up and her makeup was on point. She looked like THE evil stepmother.
"Oh. It was just me. I was talking about asking out this boy at school." Hazel jumped in. I looked at her. She smile with wide eyes, then looked at Persephone. "Nico was just giving me a tip on how I should do it." Hazel even managed to fake blush. This girl is golden.
Persephone looked at the two of us, squinting. I crosses my fingers. Please work, please work.
"Oh. Well, alright then. I must've heard something wrong. Nico, go get the rest of the groceries. Hazel darling come tell me all about it." And she waltzed into the kitchen. Hazel nodded and then gave me a glare.
"You owe me." She mouthed. I nodded and raced out to the car to get the groceries. There weren't that many thank gods. But damn they were heavy.
--------------
Dad came home later and we had dinner. It was awkward because Persephone kept talking about how Hazel was going to have a boy friend and how cute that was and everything and Hazel just glared at me the entire time. It's not my fault. She was the one who jumped in and volunteered to start dating someone.
After dinner Hazel and I hung out in her room. I sat in the giant bean bag chair in the corner of her room while she lounged on the bed staring at me.
"Look I'm sorry she won't shut up. You're the one who volunteered yourself. Don't make this my fault." I told Hazel, holding up my hands defensively.
"Oh I'm not blaming you." She rolled onto her back to stare at the ceiling. "I'm just plotting what you'll have to do to pay me for saving your butt."
"Oh. Great. Thanks. Looking forward to it." I said, clapping my hands together. "But maybe she's right." Hazel looked and me curiously.
"Persephone's right?"
"About you asking someone out. You and Frank have gone on a few dates and hes into you, you can't deny it. Maybe you should just ask him out tomorrow so that you don't have to lie when she asked about it." I shrugged.
Hazel sat up and stared at me, as if debating something.
"What?" I asked, shifting.
"Okay. I'll ask out Frank tomorrow. We're pretty much dating anyways. But you have to ask Will out tomorrow. AND you still owe me."
"Psh. I owe you? More like you owe me. I just got you to ask out the man of your dreams who I have to have a talk with at some point tomorrow. Don't let me forget that." Hazel rolled her eyes.
"Okay Neeks. I'll remind you." She grinned and winked at me. I glared. Then my phone beeped.
"Who is it?" Hazel asked, hoping off the bed to look over my shoulder.
"Nosey aren't we?" I asked, but opened my phone anyways.
W: Hey there ;)
Oh gods. Hazel giggled.
"Well then. I'll leave you be to talk with your hubby. Now out. I'm calling Piper and Annabeth." She made shooing motions with her hands to get me out the door.
I stood up. "Don't you dare tell them anything. If I get a text from Jason who heard it from Piper who heard it for you asking if I'm dating Will I will kill you." I pointed at her. "Don't."
"I'm adding this to the list of stuff you owe me." Hazel shouted as I walked out of her room. I shook my head an texted Will back.
N: hey.
W: Did you get punched today?
I looked at the screen confused. He was with me all day.
N: no. Why?
W: Cause your lips looked a little swollen earlier I just wanted to make sure you were okay.
N: shut up.
N: was it that bad?
W: it was pretty bad. Your lips were all pink and puffy. It was cute.
N: I am NOT cute.
W: yes you are
N: no.
W: yes you are you're the cutest thing I've ever seen.
N: I am no cute. I am a teenage boy who will kick you and maybe kill you and especially kill you if you keep calling me cute!
W: okay I'll stop cutie.
N: WILL!
W: okay okay I'm done.
N: good.
W: so how was supper? Who figured out you were kissing a hottie? Hum?
N: supper was fine if not awkward cause my sister had to cover for me cause she found out that I was kissing some unattractive guy and my evil step mother came home and was asking questions, so Hazel covered for me, making dinner weird.
W: Nico how could you! I was only gone for a few hours but you're already cheating on me??!???! How could you?!??! My heart is broken.
N: I'm so sorry will! But I'm not into unattractive people. I only love hotties! It's such a curse! I wish I could love you, but you're too unattractive. I'm sorry.
W: hold up. Are you saying I'm ugly?!?? Nu uh.
N: uh, ya uh. You are so not a hottie. I'd go with average. Maybe slightly above.
W: ouch. That hurt Nico. I'm wounded.
N: do you need ice for that burn?
W: it does count if you say it.
N: sure it does.
We texted all night long, only going to bed at about 2:00.
N: Will I need to sleep. I shall speak to your face tomorrow.
W: goodnight Nico. I'll see you in a couple hours.
N: bye-------------------------
Morning came much too fast. Suddenly there was light and it was burning my black soul.
I blinked and sat up in bed. It was a bright day. And I was supposed to ask out Will today. How wonderful. I got out of bed and went to my bureau, opening a draws and taking out a pair of dark jeans and a black tank top. My aviator jacket and converse completed the look and I went downstairs for breakfast.
--------------------------Once I was actually at school I realized how stupid I was. Maybe I would ask Will out after school. That's still today right? But he has to go get his sister and could be gone before I can get to him. And I don't want to do it at school. No that would be bad.
I sighed. I'll figure it out. Maybe I could just show up at his house. That would be fun. 'Hi Dolly. I'm here to ask out your eldest child. Thank you.' Again. Not a great idea.
I went to my classes and tried to treat it like a regular day. Hazel asked out Frank at some point and he said yes and I had my talk with him, making sure that he knew that if he hurt Hazel, I was going to mess him up.
And no matter how many times Hazel bugged me to go ask Will out or how many times I saw him, it just didn't feel like the right time to ask. So I waited.
And waited. And waited.
By the end of the day I was done waiting. I saw him walking out of the building.
"Hey Will! Wait up!" I waved to him and he turned round and looked. He grinned and waited. I ran up to him and smiled.
"I was wondering if I could go get Lou Ellen with you." I asked, suddenly shy. Damn it! I was so ready before.
Will smiled. "Sure. Come on." He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the school. I could feel myself blushing, but allowed myself to be pulled along.
When we got out of the school Will didn't let go of my hand. This was it. If I was gonna do it, if minus well be now right.
"Hey Will," I asked, going into a slow walk.
"Yeah Nico?"
"I was wondering..... Would you be my uh... Boyfriend?" I shrunk at the last word, pulling my hand out of his and trying to hide in my jacket. There was silence. We had stopped walking. I looked up and Will to find him looking down at me in confusion. Then he smirked.
Then he chuckled. And then he grinned and started laughing. "Oh Nico."
I stared at him. This was not like any of the reactions I had thought up. But I figured it was a no.
"It's okay. I get it. Sorry I just thought that with yesterday and everything......" I started, but was cut off with a kiss from Will.
He pulled away and I stared a him. Now I was even more confused. What?
"Nico you silly. Don't you remember? We worked it out yesterday at your place. We were already dating. You didn't have to ask. That's why I was laughing. Cause we were already dating." Will grinned and looked at me.
Hazel. It was Hazel's fault. I hadn't said that we were dating and she assumed we weren't and her dare thing convinced me we weren't. It was all her fault. Mostly her fault.
I looked back up at Will, who'd taken my hand again.
"So is that a yes?" I asked grinning.
"That's a yes." Will answered and kissed me on the check. "Come on. Let's go get Lou Ellen."
