Sorry for the wait. I forgot to update.

NICO'S POV

Will Solace will be the death of me. He's all 'yeah I know how to do this.' Lies. Lies everywhere. And he was just so casual about everything. Nothing fazed him. I though I was going to die of laughter at he look ion his face when he missed that ball. He looked so broken.
But he redeemed himself later by hitting that one I totally didn't hit at him on purpose. No I didn't. Don't ask.
When I was walking out of the gym I was scooped up by Jason.
"Isn't he cute!?" He gushed, dragging me away from the gym. "He totally was he long you put. Did you see that blush? He thought you were cute. He totally did."
"Jason calm you tits. I have no idea what you're talking about." I pulled my arm away and he stopped.
"Come on Nikki! Will? He was checking you out all day long." I started to interrupt but he stopped me. "Don't say he wasn't cause he totally was."
"Actually I was just going to say that you sound like a 12 year old fangirl and ask why you were watching him all day is there something I need to tell Leo?" I smirked at him and started walking again.
"Leo would be so jealous. You should tell him it could end in a nice make out." Jason wiggled his eyebrows at me and I wrinkled up my nose.
"Ew dude that's so gross! I did not need to know that." He's so gross.
Jason grinned. "Now, if I say that you're gonna go kiss Will...."
"Shut it Grace!" I gave him the death glare and he started dancing circles around me.
"I knew it! I knew it! You think Will is cute! You think Will is cute!"
I grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled his ace close to mine. "I you ever say those words again I will personally rip your vocal cords out of your throat." Jason stopped ovine at looked at me long and hard.
"You should really let some people in Nikki. It would be good for you. You look kinda,I don't know, lonely." Jason stepped away and looked at me. I shrugged.
"Sometimes it's better to be alone. You don't have to worry about letting people down, or people letting you down." I walked back towards the school.

--------------------------------------------------------

I licked the pebble for the forth time. Stupid Jason. Thinking I like Will. Thinks I think he's cute and incredibly sexy and shit and I hate Jason and he should just go kiss Leo and be happy and leave me alone.
I kicked the pebble again. This time it landed into my front yard. I stopped and stared at the little white house with two stories and a picket fence. The perfect little house. I hope Dad is home.
I unlock the front door and am knocked down by a large black streak. "Mrs. O'Leary no!" I shout as the lab runs out the gate and down the street. I scramble onto my feet and race down the path, almost slamming into the gate door as I turn the corner. She's already a block away.
"Damn you Dad. Getting me the stupid dog. Stupid dog doesn't listen and runs off all the time." I sprint down the street. Mrs. O'Leary took a sharp left and ran right into traffic. Horns beeped and tires skid. She managed to not be hit but as I crossed the street I had the feeling I wouldn't be as lucky.
With a few quick dashes, lots of swearing and more middle fingers than necessary, I managed to cross the road alive. "Mrs. O'Leary you get you butt over here!" I breathed at her as she ran farther away from me. "You stupid fucking dog."
She took another left onto the next block. Why do dogs have to be so fast? Why? Seriously why? I rounded the corner, panting and out of breathe. I saw her sitting there smiling at someone and I bent over, stoping to catch my breathe.
"I like you dog sir. It's very cute." I looked up at a little girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes like Jason's.
I swallowed and spoke. "Thank you. She's a pain in the butt though. I just chased her three blocks. She likes you. Thanks for stopping her." I smiled at the little girl and she grinned back.
"Lou Ellen! Where did you go you little silly?" I knew that voice. I stood up. Will Solace rounded the came out front behind the house we were standing in front of. "There you are!" He looked at her a smiled. He seemed to notice the giant dog who was drooling on her. "Where did that dog come from? You know that Mom's allergic to dogs. You can't keep him."
"She's not mine." Lou Ellen said. "She's belongs to this man. He was chasing her and I caught her for him. Right?" She turns to me.
Will notices me then. "Oh! Uh, hey Nico. I didn't know you had a dog." He rubs the back of his neck and looks down at Mrs. O'Leary.
I raise my eyebrow. "Yeah. I didn't say anything about her."
Lou Ellen looks up at me. "You know Willy?" I look at him.
"Yeah. I know Willy." He blushes profoundly when I say this. Lou Ellen grabs my hand.
"Then your not a stranger! That means you can bring your dog and have some lemonade!" She drags me past Will who shots me an apologetic glance and mouths "Sorry." Sure he is.
"Uh. Lou Ellen." She stops and looks at me. "Will told me that you mom is allergic to dogs, and because of that, Mrs. O'Leary can't go to your house." She looked at me with puppy eyes. I sighed. "Maybe sometime Willy with take you over to my house and you can play with her there. Does that sound good?" I force myself to say this. I just volunteered to have Will come to my house.
But it was worth it to see Lou Ellen light up. "Can I go now?" I looked at Will. He shrugged.
"How 'bout you walk Mrs. O'Leary home with me then I'll walk you home and we'll set up a time. Does that sound good?" She nodded her head viciously and I nodded back. "Alright. Come on you." I grabbed Mrs. O'Leary's collar and started walking. "I'll bring her back in a sec." I tell Will and he nods.
Lou Ellen takes my other hand and we walk back to my house. I quickly find out she likes to talk.
"So when a Will came home today after school, he started telling mom all about the people who were here and he talked about some girl named Annie and mom got really happy and I really want to meet her cause her and Willy have been friends forever and he also told us about all these other people and he said something about Percy and he talks about you too. Yeah! He did! He said you beat his bad word for butt at volleyball and you showed him around. But then he started talking about this blonde guy and a little elf and I don't really remember much else. But I really like your doggie. She's so cute and fluffy and I wish Mommie would let us have dogs but she gets really sneezy. Is that a word? Anyways she gets sneezy around them and Will says I can't ask for one anymore. But now I can come and visit you doggie when I want to and it'll be like having my own doggie! But she'll live at your house."
She took a deep breath and I took in all she said. Will was talking about me? But he was also taking about Jason. Oh gods. What if Jason told him? No. He wouldn't've done that to me. I was taken from these thoughts by Lou Ellen.
"Mommie says I should hold a tall person's hand when I cross the streets so that the drivers can see me." I nod.
"That's good advice. My Mama used to tell me the same thing."
"You say that weird." She tells me as we look both ways and cross the street together.
"Say what weird?" I ask, looking at her.
"Everything! But you say Mama instead of Mom or Mum or Mommie. Why do you say it weird?" I nod my hand and smile.
"See, my mom is from a different place and whee she comes from, they say things a little weird. So I got it from her, and when I was little, she took me there sometimes. So now I talk funny too." Lou Ellen nods.
"Is this where you live?" I look up at the house. I left the gate open, but thank gods I closed the front door.
"Here. We'll bring Mrs. O'Leary to the back yard, hook her up, and then I'll walk you home." I bring Lou Ellen into the backyard and grab Mrs. O'Leary's run hook up and clip her to it.
"And you stay here!" Lou Ellen tells her. "So I can come back tomorrow and you'll be able to play with me." She grins and pets Mrs. O'Leary on the face and brushes their noses together.
I smile a little and remember what it was like to be young. "Come on. Let's get you home." She takes my hand and we walk back to her house.
