As I was putting a bowl of chearios down in front of Kallie I heard a knock at the door. Going over to the door I opens it to my surprise the last person I wanted to see right now standing there with their hands in their pockets. Giving him a glare, " what the hell are you doing here?"

Chapter 8

The first thing that goes through my head was how did Kallie's dad find out where we moved to? As stood there pondering this I realize that he still didn't answer me. " I'm going to ask again, Ben why are you here?" Calling into the house I told Allik that I would be outside the door if he needed me. Closing the door I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall waiting for a reply.

" do I need a reason to come see my daughter?" At that my mouth clamped shut as a chuckle slipped out." You really think you still have the right to call her you daughter after four years of no contact? Well let me tell you that's not going to happen to Kallie she never had a dad and never will because the dad that was supposed to be there wasn't, so you cans just go back to where ever you were when you decided you were to good for fatherhood!" At this point my voice was a lot louder than I wanted but I was hoping that it got the point a crossed. Looking at my rist watch I saw I had a half an hour to get to the court house. " I think it's time you leave ben, me and the kids have somewhere to be." As I went to turn around I felt him put his hand on my arm and yank me back. " you can't tell me when our conversation is over because its over when I say it is!"

" Oww Ben your hurting me, please let go I need to leave!" Hearing the door creak open I look over to see Kallie looking out the door." Honey please go back inside." Yanking my arm from his grasp I turned to the door and opened it." Next time you show up here I will not stop myself from calling the police on your ass! Now go before I do!" Watching him leave I let out a loud sigh. Resting my head on the door I pray to myself that he doesn't come back, but deep down I knew that was to much to ask.

The court hearing went well, well as well as it could go. Allik has 38 hours of community service, and as long as he goes he won't have this on his record. But part of me me knew it sounded easier than it really was going to be. Right now I'm waiting outside the bathrooms for Allik. Hearing voices on my right I see bryon and another man. "Shit." Looking for something to use so he won't see me but all I had was my purse and Kallie. As he got closer I knew it was no use trying to hide so I just sat there and waited for him to say something because I sure as hell wasn't going to.

" lily what happens to your arm?"

Looking up at him then down to where he was looking I saw a large bruise. Scrunching my eye brows together as I thought about how hard Ben held me.

" Um I hit it off of my um desk yea my desk." As I finished what I said I mentally hit myself for what I said because I knew there was no way he would believe that.

" Hey sis done can we get out of here?" Looking over to Allik I sigh, standing up I grab my purse and kallie," Yea lets get out of here." Basically running out of the building I sighed in relief that I didn't have to stay there any longer, but I knew that I haven't avoided the whole thing yet because I knew the the next time I saw Bryon I would have to give him the real story, and part of me knew that it was coming soon.
