~Chapter Two~

After leaving the police station, I and Allik walked in silence to the nearest bus stop. I turn to see Alliks face, you could see him thinking really hard about something. His head turned to me sensing my gaze on him and the expression on his face fell as we had stare down.

“Why can't you seem to stay out of trouble? I know things haven't really been all peaches and rainbows but this has to stop I can't keep getting you out of your mistakes. They told me this is your last chance to get it right, so either straighten up or face the consequences."

He opened his mouth to say something but he shut his mouth before he said anything.

“So what’s my punishment going to be this time?"

I thought about it for a minute then I look back at him and give him a stern look.

“Nothing."

His eyes go wide when he looked from where he was staring off to.

“You heard me I said nothing. I am done trying to get through your head that you are going down the wrong path. I can't keep doing this it's not right. You either clean up your act now or keep screwing it up, I can’t keep picking you up when you fall."

I sighed. Realizing that we were at our bus stop. We both get on the bus and head home. It felt like forever before the bus stopped at our bus stop. Allik and I get off and I Head over to Mrs. Knapp's house to pick up Kallie. Yes I have a five year old daughter. She is my rock ever since my parents passed away she is the person that helped me from losing it all.

I knocked on the door and after a minute I could hear footsteps coming to the door. I gave a smile to Mrs. Knapp when she opened the door.

"You’re out of work early."

My smile disappeared when I thought about my bosses look when I had to tell him that I had to leave because of a family matter.

"Yeah... I um had something to do today so I got out of work early. So... errm... Where is my little princess?"

“I am right here mommy!"

I look behind Mrs. Knapp to see Kallie running to me. I bend down as she ran to me, I pick her up and swung her up on my hip and stood back up.

"Hey baby girl, how was your day?"

“It was so much fun, I made you a picture, and do you want to see it?"

"Yeah baby, I need to talk to Mrs. Knapp, so how about you go get your stuff while I talk to her."

I give her a kiss on the top of the head and put her on the ground and watched her run down the hall to grab her stuff. I turn to Mrs. Knapp, and gave her a smile.

“So hun what did you need to talk to me about?"

“Well I have been thinking about this since everything happened with my parents and what’s going on with Allik, the kids that Allik has been hanging out with at his high school are not the best for. So I made up my mind to move closer to town to a new school district for Alliks sake. I guess what I wanted to say is thank you for being there for me and my family when things got bad."

She gave me a warm smile then stepped closer to me and pulled me into a big hug.

“You are so welcome, you know that I will always be there for you lil. You and your family have been living by me your whole life and have been you and your brother’s baby sitter since you guys where babies, and no matter what will consider you guys my family. You know that if you ever need anything I will always be there for you and your family."

I gave her a big warm smile and gave her another hug and whispered in her ear thank you. At that point Kallie came back in the room with her stuffed turtle and the picture that she said that she drew for me. I pick her up and say good bye to Mrs. Knapp. I walked across the street to my house and put Kallie down in the living room and turned on the TV to cartoons and went to the kitchen to start lunch. Trying my hardest not to think about Allik's behavior. Now all I have to do is break the news to Allik that we are moving. Let’s see how well this one will go.
