(Author's note: Sorry guys this chapter is really short! I started it on Microsoft Word and was encouraged to post it. These five chapters are actually one larger chapter. But I thought it would make sense to split it up, since it is roughly 3,750 words and 10 pages. Thank you for your consideration.)

Later in the night, around one o-clock in the morning, Denmark had fallen asleep on the couch. Norway was still awake. His plan succeeded. Norway carefully got up from the couch, trying not to disturb the sleeping Dane, and walked quietly towards his room.
“Nore?” Iceland whispered. “That you?”
Norway nodded. Iceland had his bags in his hands, which seemed to be a struggle for him. He wasn’t as strong as the other Nordic nations, but he had the endurance.
“Ready to go?” Iceland whispered.
Norway nodded once more, grabbing his bags from underneath his bed. He only had one, as opposed to the rest of the Nordics.
Norway never owned many things. He didn’t feel the need to. Clothes from his Viking days, pictures, and a few other possessions were all he owned.
Iceland walked quickly but quietly out of his room, where Norway shut off the light for him. He followed Iceland to the front door, and almost out of it, until he stopped.
Denmark was sound asleep. But he looked troubled, and cold. Norway walked quietly towards him, unsure of how he would say goodbye. He decided to just leave him. But he couldn’t do so. It was hard enough as is to leave Denmark, if he did, he would feel guilty for a long time afterwards.
But Iceland was beckoning to him silently. Norway waved him off, and grabbed the blanket sitting next to Denmark. He may be alone soon, but at least he won’t be cold. And he wouldn’t get sick, and force the Nordics to come back, to take care of him.
Norway rested the blanket over Denmark carefully, trying not to wake him. The Dane moved slightly, which surprised Norway, but remained in his slumber. Iceland was outside, looking at the landscape once more, as Norway looked at the Dane with saddened eyes.
“Goodbye…” Norway whispered. He sighed quietly, and with tears in his eyes, picked up his bag, and walked out the door, closing it quietly. Norway knew it hurt both of them for him to leave, but he would be back…if Denmark ever forgave him. If only Denmark would forgive him.
