Chapter 5

The ground started to shake as the boys had a look of panic on their faces; "Everyone get in a doorframe!" I yelled as Liam and I went into the entryway door frame. The earthquake only lasted about a minute or two, once it ended Liam hugged me tightly.

"Maybe Niall and I should stay the night so you girls aren't alone," I knew the earthquake scared him more than it did me and Sierra, but I still saw him smirking.

"Tempting babe, but I have to ask my mom first," I responded making him laugh as I walked out of the room to call my mom. Of course, she said everyone could sleepover tonight because of the earthquake and that she would be home late since she decided to take another shift.

I found everyone in the living room talking, when I walked in Liam grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap. Sierra made a gagging face as Liam kissed my cheek, making Niall laugh and pull her closer into his body. I just remembered; "Oh guys you can stay the night if you want, my mom's cool with it."

Shortly after, we all decided to go up to bed, Niall and Sierra went into the guest room as I lead Liam to my room; "Li I'm going to take a shower, you can take one in my bathroom if you'd like," I said gathering my clothes and walking out of the room.

When I came back in Liam was sitting on my bed shirtless looking at a picture from off my desk; "Bailey who is this?" He asked.

"That's me and my dad, it's from our trip to Disneyland when I was 7," his eyes got wide when he realized that my dad wasn't here anymore.

"Sorry I didn't know, how long has it been?"

"He died when I was 12, so 6 years ago," I said trying not to cry. He made a 'O' with his lips as he put the picture back on my desk before pulling me into a hug. He fell back onto my bed, keeping his arms around me as I caught my body with my hands on his chest, our faces were centimeters away from each others. We both got really quiet as he picked up his head and closed the gap between our lips, flipping us over so he was on top, deepening the kiss.

"We should probably go to sleep," Liam said, rolling off of me and turning off the light. I eventually got under the covers after going through in my head what had just happened. As I was falling asleep I heard Liam whisper; "I love you Bailey," before I heard light snores coming from him.

I was dreaming of Liam and me together, until it turned into the nightmare of my father getting shot over and over again in war. I woke up quickly to Liam shaking me and saying my name; "Bailey are you okay?" He pulled me into his arms as I shook my head yes and the tears came flowing down my face. We stayed like this for a little bit until I calmed down enough to go back to sleep. This time Liam kept my back close to him and his arm around my stomach, I fell asleep again in complete bliss.

I woke up before Liam the next morning, tracing his arrows tattoo until he opened his eyes, once he met mine he started smiling before kissing my forehead. "Good morning babe."
