As John raced to set he thought of Anna. The cute, funny stranger he had met 3 days ago. He thought he sounded crazy but he felt something for her and HAD to see her again. If only he had asked for her number but it slipped his mind. But he had been out of the dating pool forever and didn't even think about being with a woman. But who knows, maybe something can change his mind.
Anna woke up with the sun beaming once again. It had been 4 days since she met John and she couldn't stop thinking about him. Something seemed so familiar but she couldn't pin point it. And my my my was he handsome. Very handsome. BUT she had just gotten off tour and a man was the last thing on her needed really. She was fine alone. It was peaceful. But he did make a bit of an impact on her daily thinking and it made her smile. It's been a long time since someone even has.
It was a nice Thursday morning and before Anna had to head to set she decided to take a run. She ran, and ran, and ran. Soon until she realize she was absolutely parched and needed a drink. Conveniently she had stopped right by the smoothie shop. It made her smile. And her smile just grew larger when she realized the ragly tall man in front of her was none other than John.
"Small world." She stepped on her tippy toes to reach his shoulder and speak by his ear. He turned to face her, creating a huge smile on his face.
"Guess it really is." He scratched the back of his head, "How have you been?"
"I've been great! How have you been?"
He smiled at her, "I just got better ya know." And she blushed.
"Let me get you your drink."
"Oh no no John. I got it."
"No I want to. And with me buying it, I get entitled to a favor."
Anna perked her eyebrow up, "A favor?"
"Yes," He chucked,"And I'm redeeming it now by requiring you to join me right now."
"Hm." Anna jokingly crossed her arms and pretended to think, "Let me think."
"Oh take your time, it's a major decision."
"I know right. And rather big too." They both laughed, "I'd love to.""YOURE JIM HALBERT, THATS WHO YOU ARE! I KNEW YOU LOOKED FAMILIAR! Your beard threw me off!" John started to laugh hysterically at screeching Anna.
"It tends to have that effect. That's why I'm thinking of keeping it year round. I enjoy the camouflage it provides."
"Ah you are a mad genius, Krasinski."
"Thank you for recognizing that."
They both continued to laugh. It was so easy to talk to each other. Quite ironic. since they only met a few days ago. But they talked for an hour with it seeming like a minute. Anna's phone started to buzz.
"Oh shoot. I actually need to go to the studio soon!"
"Oh you're fine. I'll walk you to your car."
"I didn't take my car. I ran here. I live close by."
"Here let me give you a ride." John offered.
"I-"
"Really it's no trouble. I'm ready for my job, I don't think you are." He laughed.
"Okay. I'll take you up on it."Ten minutes and they arrived at Anna's house. Being the gentleman John was he opened her car door and walked her to the front of her house.
"Thank you so much. You've helped me twice in one week. You must be my savior." Anna teased.
"While I do like helping damsels in distress." He joked back lightly.
"I had a fun time."
"And I hope more happen?" John questioned.
"Yeah. I will allow it."
"Alright while that require another favor for that car ride. Your number." He started pulling out his cell phone. Anna took it laughing, "Is this going to happen every time you help me out?"
"Hm yes. Yes it will." He sarcastically joked, "Problem?" He watched her laugh at the phone.
"Oh no. Only if you can handle it backfiring." She smiled as she handed him back his phone.
"Touché ma'am.." They both laughed, "Okay well I will give you a call then."
"I'll be waiting. Bye John." John smugly smiled down at her and started to walk to his car.
"Bye Anna." He turned around to wave which she returned. She stepped inside and started to blush furiously until her phone rang. She picked it up,
"Hello??"
"Oh hey I'm just making sure this wasn't a bogus number." She immediately opened her door to watch John still parked on his cell phone, smiling at her.
"No I decided to be nice and honest for once."
"For once?" He laughed hard, "Ah this is going to be fun Hernandez. See you soon."
"Bye you." She giggled and watched him finally drive off.
