How my last first day of high school went: Part 2

Nolan? Austin? What the fuck is his name, I don't know. All I know is the guy I spent the whole weekend with last week, who never called me back and then find out he is dating my best friend is standing right in front of me. I don't know what to do. I'm frozen in one spot. Its like everyone in the cafeteria disappeared and it was just me him and river.

"Hey I'm austin man, I believe your Leo" he said with a smile on his face. What? Is he serious? He he seriously gonna stand in front of me and pretend he doesn't know me? What the fuck is going on right now

"Uhm Le don't be rude, introduce yourself" river said
"River he already knows me... You just said my name" I said "but for the sakes of it, hey I'm Leo nice to meet you" I said shaking his hand.

When i touched his hand the familiar touch made some of the memory's we shared back to me. God-dammit what the hell.

"So I heard alot about you" he said as all three of us sat down together
"Oh yeah like what?" I asked curious
"Just that your a big film fan and you love movies and stuff" he said
"Wow that's crazy, cause you know I haven't heard one thing about you Austin"

"Leo don't be mean" river said holding his hand on the table. The sight if it made me mad. I know she's my best friend and she doesn't know anything but me and Nol- Austin shared so many-

"Did you hear me Leo? Austins lives with his older brother and he's letting him have a welcome back to school party!"

"Your br-brother?" I thought he never gets to see his brother? I thought he lived with his aunt on a farm? This guy is a total fucking dick.

"Uhm.. Yeah" Austin said scratching his head "he's going out of town for the night on Saturday to visit the girl he's seeing" I looked him in the eye and I know he saw what I felt.

Confusion, hurt and pain.

"You have 10 minutes until school starts, I repeat 10 minutes" one of the teachers yelled. A lot of the freshman started to run like they were in a race

"Uhm.. I have to go.. You know student body presidential duties. But it was nice meeting you and I'll catch up with you guys after the pep rally.

The cheerleaders were performing now and they were dancing to Becky G remix of singing in the shower

After they were done I made my way to the middle if the gym "what's up everyone and most importantly, class of 2016!" The senior section started screaming loudly

"Thanks to our great cheerleaders for opening up our pep rally. It is my honor to be you guy's student president this year, a lot of things are planned this year especially for home coming" I heard some cheers in the crowd "so with that will you guys stand up and cheer on our football team as they come out!" I gave the mic to one of the student council students so they can announce the football team

I really had to go to the restroom so I jogged a little and did my business quickly, as I was done and opened the door Nola- Austin, I'm never gonna get used to that, was standing in front of me.

"We need to talk" he said blocking my way
"About how you lied? Save your breath cause I don't really care" although I do care. I want answers.
"Look can you let me explain? I thought-"
"What that I was just some faggot that you can just trick in to liking you!? Congrats cause you did and I was a fucking fool!" I said trying to push him. God I forgot how strong he was "Austin they're almost done announcing I need to go now" I said

"Okay.. Kiss me first" he said looking down at me. I also forgot how tall he was
"What!? Are you crazy!" I said "your my best friends boyfriend!"
"It never stopped you before" he said tilting his head
"Uhm yeah I'm pretty sure that's because you never told me who you were you fucking assho-" before I knew it he was crashing his lips to mine and he forced his way in to my mouth so our toungues were touching. I pushed him way
"Stay away from me" I said to him, and before I could walk away he grabbed a hold of my wrist and said
"I don't think your just some faggot by the way"

I yanked my arm away and ran back, oliver looked at me "you okay dude, your face is really red"
"Yeah I'm fine" I said. I saw Austin make his way back to river and put his arm around her

"And now a word from our football captain Nick!" The whole school clapped and was stomping on the bleacher like he was some celebrity

"Just wanted to say WHATS UP BULLDOGS!!" He said and the football team roared " last year we won championships As you all know, and this year we plan to win again!" The crowd cheered "this won't be possible without you guys there to cheer us on at the game this Friday night! So come and show support!" The crowd cheered again, I even heard a girl from the junior section say "I love you nick" I rolled my eyes at it and made my way back to the gym floor.

After nick gave his pep talk we had the dance teams perform and the colorgaurd. Nonthing much else happened but I can tell the school had a great time this morning.

I was in class and I still couldn't get my mind off the kiss that Austin gave me earlier. What do I do? My best friends boyfriend basically cheated on her with ME. Her best friend since the 1st grade. As a best friend I know I should tell her, but should I really? I mean... I didn't know who he really was until this morning and what happened to us was just a one time thing.

"Uhm Leo? Can you tell us what the two parties of a criminal case is?" My government teacher asked

Easy

"Defendant and prosecuter" I said to him, he nodded "good good" then he continued on the lesson

"Faggot" one of the other guys said to me, nick laughed. I'm pretty used to being called a fag by alllll of the football players. Its been happening since I came out the closet. I swear these football players can't stand a little rainbow around them

I was writing down some of the notes that was written on the board, and that's when Austin walked in the class. Can I not get a break from this guy!?

Apparently he was 30 minutes late because he had to sign some transfer papers.

"There's about 20 minutes left of class and I guess I can use the first 10 to talk about your first project" I heard groans and sighs from the whole class. "Yeah yeah yeah moan and groan all you want but this project is worth the first half of your grade." He went on to talk about what we had to do for it.
"Now I did the honors for you guys and Already partnered you up. I did this because half of you don't even know each other and it's your last year together"

"Liz and Jamie... Ryder and Hannah... Nick and Bobbie..." Of course they would get partnered together "gale and Tris, Leo and Austin" wait ... WHAT??! no! God this can not be happening to me

After he was done reading the list I went up to the teacher

"Eh.. Mr. Uhlmer... Is there anyway possible I can switch partners?" I asked
"Any specific reason?" He asked
"Non I can say out loud" I said to him
"Then I'm sorry Leo, Austin is a nice kid.. Show him around I heard he's new" I waved mr.uhlmer off and went back to my seat and put my headphones in

The bell rang and school was finally out. I was walking until I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around and it was him "Look. I don't want anything to do with you okay? The only thing we will EVER talk about is this project" I said to him

"Leo chill I was just gonna ask where should we start?" He said
"I'll text you I guess" and I walked away putting my headphones back in my ear.
